I really liked the old recipe for the “Chik’n” . The new recipe is NOT good. I miss the old menu.

It's such a awesome place if you're vegan you can order whatever you want on the menu and that's a great feeling. I would say the food needs a little more seasoning but I am from the south so that's probably a preference. Love the food like the nachos the little soup

What a DELIGHT! Great vegan restaurant, food and service! I really enjoyed the options, and that the menu wasn’t full of wheat gluten! I highly recommend the Veggie Grill!

The food was okay, but they got my order wrong. It didn’t match the ticket or the picture online.
I ordered the Chik’nChz style fries, which was supposed to have cheese, ranch and buffalo sauce. Instead it was full of chili, beans and green onions, which ironically doesn’t look like the picture for the ChiliChz bowl either. Since I’m traveling and ordered delivery, I can’t send the food back.
The bowl was okay, but I don’t care for chili. I scraped most of it away. Green onions gross me out, so I picked them off. The tenders were okay, but kind of bland.
Overall, I wasn’t impressed. $25 for a dinner order that was messed up and that was after a $16 promo discount. I can’t imagine paying 40 bucks for this. I don’t order out often for this very reason, if the order is wrong, you’re out of luck.
I attached pictures of my order and the menu. The bowl looks nothing like what I ordered.

If you're a Vegan or just like eating Vegan food this is the place. They have a wide variety of different items from Burgers, salads, Bowls etc. Nothing has any animal products.

Had the urge for soup. Got that and more. A burger, taco salad and a smoothie. All and all a good meal.
We were sick at the hotel and ordered the Lentil soup and salad and both weee tasty and just what I needed!
I have been to this place many times, and it has never been bad. Taking anything with sunny-side egg makes it amazing. I also like their new rebranding!
One of the best looking Veggie Grill locations. It just got a facelift after being bought out by Next Level Burger. My favorite thing about VG is how available around the city with various locations. You can count on their consistency when it comes to quality but if you like an item on the menu make sure to enjoy it while you can. They are continuously evolving and working on that menu. Some items like the classic VG Burger has stayed and is my go to. It’s what VG does well. More recently they add Beyond Steak and Oshi salmon which have allowed them to cover more ground of the vegan curious audience and those vegans looking for a meal that allows them to experience meals they used to love but in a plant-based manner. The steak tastes like steak and the salmon is definitely made for those fish lovers. I encourage you to bring an omnivore or pescatarian to try these items. If you simply want a quick meal, go with the burger and ask for your fries crispy. Also grab a side of fried cauliflower or cheesy bites. Those are my go-tos.
Happy Munchies,

Used to be a big fan of Veggie Grill. But, after they closed locations in OC this is the first time I’ve returned to the restaurant. Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated. The people were wonderful and kind and responsive, however, the food itself tastes like cheap fast food. This round left me feeling bloated and wishing I made another choice.
For the atmosphere, it was okay at best. The sofa doesn’t match the restaurant (not even sure why it’s in there…who would eat on the sofa ? The other lounge chairs in the middle of the restaurant also are confusing for this fast casual style category restaurant.
Overall, if you’re coming here know that the traditional “classics” have deteriorated. Recommend trying something new.
It's the OG. Great for quick meal. Our go to for vegan nachos! The carrot cake is worth it! Get it!
I wish I was more satisfied with my food, but honestly burger kind impossible Whopper was better than the burger I got from here today.
I was given one half full thing of ranch for my fries and no napkins in my bag?
I've been vegan for 6 years and was really excited as I am from Houston and only staying in California for 1 night and I was bummed because it wasn't like crazy or anything, the burger was fine, but it's just weird how little sauce there was on my burger and how they gave me virtually no ranch for my fries so I had to eat them dry.
The lemonade tasted like whatever it was sitting in hasn't been cleaned in a while, like it tastes kind of raunchy. Like doesn't taste good in a dirty kind of way. If my stomach hurts I'll know why.
3/10 would probably say to skip this spot honestly. Dissatisfied as I spent over $40 on doordash for sub par food and raunchy lemonade.
Excellent quality vegan restaurant, very tasty dishes. You can order burgers, chicken, salad. Spacious and good atmosphere. Excellent service.
The people working at Veggie Grill are still wonderful, friendly, and fast. But the new owners that just bought it and Habit Burger are complete idiots with their menu changes, ruining menu choices for vegetarians. The Veggie Grill has HUGE decrease in quality in many dishes, and the Habit took the Impossible Burger off their menu and replaced it with a complete garbage veggie patty. And to demonstrate how CLUELESS the new owners are about vegetarians, the DISGUSTING new veggie patty burger will come with cucumbers on it and served in a wheat bun if you don't tell them at counter NOT to make it the standard serving way!!!! Cucumbers and wheat bun for a burger!!!! Maybe one in a million people would prefer a burger served like that!!!! Vegetarians, avoid both these restaurants and make them pay for their lousy research and their lazy and insulting changes to their menus. Take your business to owners of other restaurants that deserve your money. The new owners of Habit and Veggie Grill also do not deserve the great employees at these restaurants that they inherited.
