#1 vintage diner in the South Bay. Walk in and you will transport back to a simpler time. Wendy's Place is in the likeness of a Midwest Mid-Century diner, replete with wood paneled walls, Norman Rockwell art and ornate Plates and cups with matching rose colored vintage prints. The vibe is very local with neighnorhood folks convening to chat about this and that. The service is incredible with genuine smiles. The food is amazing. The hashbrowns and homefries are cooked to perfection with onions and peppers added if you want them. I recommend the hamburger steak and eggs breakfast. The generous portion may even afford leftovers for a second meal. I'm confident that if you pay a visit, you too will rank this Southbay gem as your #1 go to diner.
We enjoyed ourselves at this small old fashioned diner. The chili beans omelet surprised me because the egg actually encased the filling; unlike other diners which ladel the chili beans over the eggs. The gentleman at the counter ordered the oatmeal and I will definitely order that the next time we dine here. Wendy's Place is a gem, from the matching service settings to the joy of the workers.
This is an old school diner if there ever was one. We had lunch there today and it was really cool. A couple of regulars were there and it was obvious they probably ate there either every day or most days for lunch. It’s that kind of inviting place. Great menu, plenty to choose from. Old school digs. Great service, April was on top of it. I had the chicken salad sandwich with fries, and it was delicious. They also know how to make good iced tea.
General note, they don’t take credit cards. Plan on Venmo, Zelle, or old fashioned cash.
A local treasure.

A restaurant with its own vibe and a really cool diner atmosphere, which I found really good. We arrived just in time to not have to wait in line.
The prices are definitely affordable for LA so that was good to see. But, for me, the food wasn’t worth it. My omelet was just okay. And, the hasbrown, not really cooked and bland. The meat had a bunch of fat.
The food quality wasn’t really there.
However, we did really enjoy the French toasts. They were pretty good.
Overall, a cool spot but the food didn’t meet my expectations even for that price.

First time here and order a Joe’s Omlet and it was decent. Nothing spectacular but good. The menu is a bit limited for breakfast, so ended up getting just something basic. The portion size was a little smaller than I expected but it was OK nonetheless, not sure if I would go back for breakfast again.
