Good food but egg rolls suck
Don’t waste your time and money. Food is horrible. The “salt and pepper spareribs” weren’t even spareribs, it was pork chops. The owner said “I’ve been serving this for 23 years and this is spareribs” Well i guess after 23 years he still doesn’t know what pork spareribs are. Then the bbq ribs was undercooked and when we told him it was, he said he didn’t want us to come back. This place has DISGUSTING food and HORRIBLE customer service. We were never gonna come back anyways. don’t know why others think they have great food to make this restaurant last for 23 years. would have given 0 stars if it was an option
Fair prices and well made food. My favorites are the salt and pepper squid and the stir fried vegetables. They are very quick and the staff are super friendly.
The food looks okay, but taste delicious !!!!! Excellent customer service.
this one of last china house restaurants open in el sobrante, and the food was always great
OMG ! The Mongolian beef with fried rice lunch deal was a full plate of yummy! $8.50Open for in-dining. Super nice servers!!!
I ordered shrimp/prawns Egg foo yong. Years ago, it used to be very good. Now, they cheat you by charging almost $13, not using enough eggs or none, it's mostly made with flour and baking powder, some bean sprouts and fried so its browned outside to make it look like a thick patty. If not for the brown gravy and green onions, it wouldn't taste good at all, plus dry and hard in the center like flour instead of eggs, which is soft and tastes like eggs. They put the prawns outside, not inside. Very poor quality! I've had the same at another Chinese restaurant and it was very good, soft and pliable, shrimps cooked inside with bean sprouts, green onions and a lot of real eggs. Royal is cheating people with none or hardly any eggs, just a fake egg foo yong. Don't order this on their menu!!!
This restaurant is nice and spacious, the food was yummy and the prices were very affordable. quick, effective service and very personal waiters. Recommended.
Royal Palace is our family fave and go-to for delicious Chinese cuisine in El Sobrante. Ordering by phone or in-person is easy, food is piping hot, conveniently open for lunch specials or dinner. Lots of tasty choices. Every dish we've had is superb. Happily doing weekly meal orders during this pandemic to promote small business. Looking forward to sit-down dining when allowed. Thanks, Royal P!!
The Royal Palace was top-notch before COVID-19 hit, and I imagine it's affected their staff and ability to get the same ingredients. I would rate 5 stars, but right now they're just not at the point they were in the quality department.

Love their Szechuan Chicken, pot stickers, chow mein and rice.
I had a great experience at this place. We liked the first-rate vibes and the menu. The staff are very personal. I’m glad we finally managed to eat here.
Love the food, very yummy, great prices, and friendly people
I've been going for many years now and for the most part they're great! Only problem is sometimes I believe they cook old meat with new So it's hard and strawy like.. For sweet and sour chicken. So it's hard to want to get takeout from them.
Amazing food, great customer service
