There’s no denying that the hot dogs from this funky dog joint are just perfect. The woman that waited on us was a delight and she’s been there since the place opened decades ago. I gave the atmosphere 5 stars because they’re not pretending to be anything they’re not. I’ll be back there often.
I had to take a Gribble Halkinpacker out to the Reservoir so the Rangers there can keep better track of the migrating Pollywingers when they show up in July to nest. I was running a little early so when I spotted Sam's Dod House, I knew right then and there were I was going to eat! Nothing beats a perfectly cooked dog when you don't have a lot of time...that is unless you ask for a double!

Enjoyed the two hotdogs, one was with chili and the other with mustard, relish & onion. Chili was a bit bland but ok. Owner was very nice. Place was clean and plenty of parking. A few tables for dining inside. Will definitely be back.
