I don’t like to give bad reviews but I will if needed. I’m giving 1 star cause their service alone just canceled out everything else. When it comes to the food I’ve never had to wait long and it’s not bad I’ve been enough times to know that I would come back, but not anymore.When it comes to customer service, it’s ok. I say ok cause last Friday 3/3/23 the person that took my order was friendly however the lady that was sitting at the table, while I was placing my order, was looking at me as if I was crazy or as if she had an issue with me like I did something to her. Maybe that’s just her natural demeanor I don’t know. Either way it’s not inviting especially being that I’m friendly around people.??♀️The worst part was that when I came back to get my food that I had already paid for when I placed my order. This other man kept asking me to pay AGAIN!!! Although I had told him twice I already paid for my order. For some reason the ticket that was attached to the order didn’t indicated that I paid although I did.Luckily the lady that was sitting at one of the tables, staring at me the first time I came in was still sitting there when I came back, and yet AGAIN she was looking at me as if I did something to her. ?So once I told the man for what was about to be the 3rd time that I already paid a different worker and was about to tell him to ask the lady that was sitting at the table looking at me all crazy, he turned to her and asked if I paid then she gave another crazy look and said, OH YEAH YEAH she paid, the other worker but he just left to go home. ??So if she wasn’t there I was about to really have to go back and forth with the person cause the guy that took my order didn’t give me a receipt, which I wasn’t thinking nothing of it cause I know I paid and tipped them and other people working there seen me do so, plus I’m sure they have cameras so if needed to play back anything they would see that I paid.Like I said their customer service isn’t the best. It’s so frustrating that they’re so quick to assume that I didn’t pay, I guess they’re not use having people being honest about paying for stuff let alone a black person. I find it funny that during the pandemic they was begging for people to come in and now that people are coming in they’re so quick to be judge mental and treat their customers rudely. If they said sorry I don’t remember cause I was more shocked how they just treaded me. This is definitely one place I won’t be coming back to ever again.One tip I have for them is to make sure you have PAID on all of your orders that HAS been PAID, so this don’t become an issue if for some reason the customer didn’t get a receipt. And be more kind to your customers cause at the end of the day you need our business to stay open we don’t need you! ????♀️Good luck to anyone that orders here.

By and far the best vegetarian Chinese cooking in the East Bay. I don't know how this gem isn't top-ranked in every platform. Absolutely fantastic food, top-notch customer service, and the only place I can find such a huge range of Chinese favorites with vegetarian meat alternatives. We won't eat anywhere else for Chinese now!

You can taste the wok flavors come all together in harmony along with the smokiness of the high heat when the food hits the hot oil. Highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed I guarantee you.

I went to pick up food at Happy Chin. This is not the first time. The woman behind the counter will rip your head off if you ask her exactly how long it will take for the order to be ready. Then she took off screaming in another language and pointing at me. You cannot eat inside, it is cluttered and they won’t let you pass a certain spot, in other words you step two feet inside the door and no further. But this woman will not allow you to ask her questions. Not a pleasant environment!!

This review is for their food and service. I tried them first time and was impressed they have online ordering without fees and markups. The food was delicious and plentiful, the price was right and food was ready when expected for a pickup order. They are my new Chinese takeout place

I like this place when I’m on a run, they are quick. I ordered a combo fried rice and it was filling and good taste. I would have to say that it was slightly oily but had good flavor. It had a fair amount of protein in it, perfect for lunch on the go, I deliver and need to be on the go all the time. Definitely will keep this place on the radar. ?

Used lots of oil, their fried food was tasteless and soggy, and I would pay for a healthier and expensive alternative. Tried 2 different times and not worth going back since it left me with a heavy and greasy aftertaste.
My order was great! I got Mongolian beef and added broccoli, and it was cooked perfect and the sauce was bomb. The house chowmain was delicious. The hot and sour soup was just the right amount of spicy ?. Would definitely order again if I come back to Richmond.

No wait.. no bueno no good. I order 7 different plates one is fried shrimp curry rice no flavor of curry no yellow also shrimp was extra boiled , Mongolian beef to much onion and tail's No spicy flavor the beef like gum. Sweet and sour pork,?,Is by sure we no order no more on this place.
