I don’t like to give bad reviews but I will if needed. I’m giving 1 star cause their service alone just canceled out everything else. When it comes to the food I’ve never had to wait long and it’s not bad I’ve been enough times to know that I would come back, but not anymore.When it comes to customer service, it’s ok. I say ok cause last Friday 3/3/23 the person that took my order was friendly however the lady that was sitting at the table, while I was placing my order, was looking at me as if I was crazy or as if she had an issue with me like I did something to her. Maybe that’s just her natural demeanor I don’t know. Either way it’s not inviting especially being that I’m friendly around people.??♀️The worst part was that when I came back to get my food that I had already paid for when I placed my order. This other man kept asking me to pay AGAIN!!! Although I had told him twice I already paid for my order. For some reason the ticket that was attached to the order didn’t indicated that I paid although I did.Luckily the lady that was sitting at one of the tables, staring at me the first time I came in was still sitting there when I came back, and yet AGAIN she was looking at me as if I did something to her. ?So once I told the man for what was about to be the 3rd time that I already paid a different worker and was about to tell him to ask the lady that was sitting at the table looking at me all crazy, he turned to her and asked if I paid then she gave another crazy look and said, OH YEAH YEAH she paid, the other worker but he just left to go home. ??So if she wasn’t there I was about to really have to go back and forth with the person cause the guy that took my order didn’t give me a receipt, which I wasn’t thinking nothing of it cause I know I paid and tipped them and other people working there seen me do so, plus I’m sure they have cameras so if needed to play back anything they would see that I paid.Like I said their customer service isn’t the best. It’s so frustrating that they’re so quick to assume that I didn’t pay, I guess they’re not use having people being honest about paying for stuff let alone a black person. I find it funny that during the pandemic they was begging for people to come in and now that people are coming in they’re so quick to be judge mental and treat their customers rudely. If they said sorry I don’t remember cause I was more shocked how they just treaded me. This is definitely one place I won’t be coming back to ever again.One tip I have for them is to make sure you have PAID on all of your orders that HAS been PAID, so this don’t become an issue if for some reason the customer didn’t get a receipt. And be more kind to your customers cause at the end of the day you need our business to stay open we don’t need you! ????♀️Good luck to anyone that orders here.

By and far the best vegetarian Chinese cooking in the East Bay. I don't know how this gem isn't top-ranked in every platform. Absolutely fantastic food, top-notch customer service, and the only place I can find such a huge range of Chinese favorites with vegetarian meat alternatives. We won't eat anywhere else for Chinese now!

You can taste the wok flavors come all together in harmony along with the smokiness of the high heat when the food hits the hot oil. Highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed I guarantee you.

I went to pick up food at Happy Chin. This is not the first time. The woman behind the counter will rip your head off if you ask her exactly how long it will take for the order to be ready. Then she took off screaming in another language and pointing at me. You cannot eat inside, it is cluttered and they won’t let you pass a certain spot, in other words you step two feet inside the door and no further. But this woman will not allow you to ask her questions. Not a pleasant environment!!

Always 100% delicious! Happy Chin Eating is my go to for chow mein and soup. Their House Special Chow Mein is so yummy my kids always ask me to order it! And their hot and sour soup is great too. I doordash most of the time and their packaging is handled with care. Must try!!!

We have driven by this small restaurant for a long time and finally ordered from her. Oh, what a good decision that was. Everything we have tried is between pretty good and superb, especially the garlic chicken and Mongolian chicken. The chow mein is tasty and not so fat. We have not ordered anything fried. Portions are generous at a fair price. We only had take-out where we pick up ourselves. Overall we can highly recommend this location.

Terrible terrible food everything was cold and chewy. On top of everything the Asian lady who takes phone orders and serves food for take out is very rude, and disrespectful. Definitly don't reccomend eating there and if you talk to the lady who serves and greets customers you'll see exactly what I mean.

Really great food with generous portions and super kind staff. They're doing takeout only right now because of the pandemic and staffing. The king pao tofu was just the right spice level and the seasoning on the Generals chicken was unique and delicious. Will definitely return when I'm back in town. (Fair prices too by the way!)

Talk about amazing customer service and great food. Please note, as of September 2022, due to COVID this establishment is on open for takeout and delivery on food apps only. Love the Kung Pao Shrimp lunch special. Trust me you'll be licking those lips. Comes with steamed or fried rice, small soup of the day and a crab & cheese wonton. They also make a great wor wonton soup. There's a small and a large order. The small alone could comfortably feed 2-3. I was sick a while back and maaaaan the wor wonton got me through it :)

SOOOO good! The food tastes very fresh and good quality. We got the Vegi options and I even messed up somehow and ordered regular Orange Chicken by accident. When I realized the error I called them and they were very nice about it and changed it. Great customer service and great food. So happy to have so many vegeterian options! We'll definitely be coming back!

Wow!!!! This was absolutely really good service and exceptional food!!!!! Lots of parking, at this time only to go food, fast service, I loved the environment friendly to go containers, great environmentally responsible restaurant!!! The food was so crazy good I shared with my neighbor and he lost his s*** demanding to know where is this place!! All I can say order three orders of fried wontons bc you are going to loose it when you each these!!!! And the pork fried rice is outstanding!!!! So load up your orders bc you will just come back to get more!!!!
