In response to owner’s reply:
You don’t get to dictate where and how customers share their poor experiences.
Google reviews provide the public with a platform for sharing the quality and value of products and services they receive with others. I’m sure all business owners would prefer to have customers reach out privately with feedback rather than post publicly — but since you serve the public, the public has the right to know when someone doesn’t have a good experience.
Posting publicly provides a level of accountability that wouldn’t exist if feedback was only shared privately. And attempting to shame me for sharing an honest review publicly is poor form.
You being a small business, winning awards, and touting the ingredients you use has no relevance whatsoever. It’s just there to distract from my account of what I received.
I have enjoyed your chai drinks in the past and have made a point to buy from your stand on many occasions—it was prepared differently than usual and we felt it was scammy to charge so much while receiving a sub-par beverage. That may be an uncomfortable truth, but it’s the truth nonetheless.
You can have the best chai known to humanity, but what good is that if it’s diluted to the point of being flavorless?
A more appropriate response would have included an assurance that you’d review procedures and recipes with staff to ensure quality control when you aren’t able to be there personally. Instead, you suggest that, as a small business who won an award, you should be exempt from public reviews. This is preposterous.
A good community member understands the importance of keeping others informed, shares their experiences, and votes with their wallet. So yeah, for sure —“Cheers to Community”.
My Original Review:
My review is for their mobile booth operating at the midtown farmers market on Feb 22. Ordered 2 iced chais (at $7 each!) and were served with what tasted like 2 cups of iced milk. No chai flavor at all. We returned and ask for chai to be added because it had no flavor whatsoever. While they did add it, it still wasn’t enough to impart much chai flavor. At that point we just accepted that we’d been bamboozled and vowed to skip this place in the future. The older woman making the drinks was either not following the recipe, or this brand is committed to accepting payment and not delivering an acceptable product. Either way, we’re not gonna be back to find out which.

Quality food and drinks every time! Nancy knows what she is doing and has some really creative items. Her coffee trailer is also beautiful and her baristas are all very welcoming.

A wonderful experience!
- Delicious drinks, both caffeinated and fruit based spritzers. Unique combinations and it is hard to go wrong with whatever drink you order. Lots of vegan options.
- The glasses they come in are cute and fancy. The owner spends extra money to source oat-based to-go cups that you can actually eat! Or just compost. The cups can keep the beverage for 40 minutes before it starts to dissolve. It tastes like a sugar-free ice cream cone :-) Try it!
- The service is friendly and quick. Definitely makes you want to come back. Thank you, Nancy!

Nancy showed up at our school a few months in a row for a gathering and it was so very special to meet her and enjoy her creatively wholesome drinks. Her pistachio Matcha was delicious. I also loved the chai tea and golden milk latte. Truly something for everyone. My young son enjoyed the hot chocolate that was made with less sugar (and he’s picky). She would be great to have at any event! I hope to have more of her drinks soon.
I got the Cali matcha and the flavor was nice but I did add sweetener because I prefer a sweetened matcha latte. Also tried the tropical scoop (like a scone but softer) and it was good!
I run a local mom walk group, and we absolutely love having Balance Me Out Now Coffee to start our walks. Their high-quality espresso is like a delicious work of art. I love how they take coffee to a whole new level with their unique flavors. It's always a delightful experience to sip on their creations.

Balance Me Out was an awesome vendor at our recent school concert. Aside from the delicious drinks, what stood out to me the most was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by Nancy and her super cute trailer. The lavender lemonade is wonderful and so pretty!

We love having Balance me out at our Venue whenever possible!
Nancy, the owner, is so sweet and I'm always excited to try one of her original creations. I'm personally a black coffee kind of person, but I enjoy her hand crafted drinks! She has brought her custom coffee trailer out for private events, public concerts and bridal events at our Property, and has recently debuted her espresso cart. Both are so cute, and sure to be a hit for events!
