Brick House Restaurant & Catering

Been here a few times and the lasagna is our favorite, along with the house salad and bread. The fresh garlic butter is a wonderful touch. But their service is always hit and miss. They open at 2pm on weekdays, but don’t serve any dinner options until 5pm. Not even a limited menu with mains. They’ll offer you a mediocre happy hour menu and say you need to wait another 30-60 minutes to order dinner. Needless to say, they walked a sale that night. It was off putting. Also, it gets super loud in the front of the restaurant due to the bar. The dining area isn’t so bad, but if the place is at capacity and you’re waiting, it can been somewhat uncomfortably loud.

Went here the day after Valentine’s Day!! The service was horrible, slow and just awful honestly. I ordered the steak and my goodness for $48 dollars that was the worst and most bland steak ever. I ordered it medium and they overcooked it. I didn’t send it back because service was already slow and didn’t want to wait more for them to bring another bland steak. Not sure how this place got such high reviews. We won’t be back.

I've wanted to try this place since moving to Elk Grove so I was excited to eat here for date night. Unfortunately, we were not impressed at all. The service wasn't terrible but wasn't great either, the server never refilled our water glasses and forgot our bread but overall seemed pleasant. The best part of the meal was probably the fresh bread with garlic butter and the jolly rancher cocktail my husband ordered. The steak was overcooked and bland, the veggies were lacking seasoning and were not drained at all either. The shrimp scampo was good and the alfredo was pretty good also tho it could have used some salt as well. my husband did have a chance to have his steak re-cooked if he had wanted to, but chose not to since re-cooking it would not have made it taste better due to the lack of seasoning. None of the dishes were worth the cost and we won't be back. I guess this is what you get when you choose to eat in Elk Grove instead of venturing into downtown Sac.

I don't know if we went on the wrong day wrong time, but I didn't appreciate how the waitress treated us. When we left the restaurant when she told us there might not be room for us if we stick around. After we left, there was an argument between two gentlemen, one claiming to be the owner who was exiting the parking lot from the wrong side. The situation cooled away how the other guy approached, but still, the whole experience was just bad here.

The best Italian food, service great, very reasonable. Farmers Special, short ribs over pasta, one of the best sellers. Beef stroganoff also to come back for.

We love their food, service, and restaurant so much that we are having our daughter's wedding reception here! The Brickhouse has extremely reasonable rates, an easy to follow event contracts, and excellent customer service. Their manager, Chris, is very attentive and a great guy to work with. Let me say it again, their food is supreme. Hats off to the chef's! ?‍? ?‍?
