i was searching the area on vacation for a good matcha latte and couldn’t of been happier to come across cá phê haru 🍵 the original matcha latte with oat milk and a bit extra sweetness was perfect for me partner and i - it was a perfect balance of earthy, bitter flavor the staff was hospitable despite starting to close up shop about thirty minutes before close and encourage you to try your drink to make sure you’re satisfied with it (which is super appreciated, especially as a first time customer) 💚 there were also some goods for sale from seemingly local artists which were fun to take a look at while waiting for my drinks !!!

I just tried the Korean Garlic Milk Bread and the Scallion Milk Bread and both were really good. Fresh, flavorful, and honestly better than I expected. Only downside is that they serve them only on the weekends.
The only thing that throws me off a bit is the service. The staff don’t really smile and sometimes it feels like you’re bothering them just by being there. They look at you like they hate you or they hate their life lol. The vibe doesn’t quite match how good the food/atmosphere is.
Still worth going though.

Matcha is decent and has good color.
Service is good and fast, but not liking about how they operate since their POS charge some kind of fee that is 30 cents (I guess like 4% of total order) on top of already expensive drink (7.50 for matcha latte) and the receipt didn't disclose what it was. It's not tax as you don't get tax for to-go drinks in California.
To add on, I understand as case with small business, some of the POS options will have customer to take on some costs but I haven't seen one as high as 4% when you are already are charging higher price on your drinks.
If you are already charging customer a premium price, no reason to absorb some of the POS operation/credit card transaction or whatever-it-was price yourself.

Cute little café and the Vietnamese coffee was good. I also tried their specialty drink that was off the menu and they were just alright. I'd rather stick to menu items.
I think it's a bit on the pricey side given the portion. So far, very great service. Everyone was very kind.

My husband got the vietnamese drip coffee and I got the double hojicha. I'm a huge tea person and I'm happy to say I finally found a place that put emphasis on great quality tea taste.
Other reviews say there's no sugar but that's not true. There is sugar, it's just very mild and they do say if you want more just let them know. I LOVE THAT! it's the perfect level of mild sweetness.

A month after my initial double matcha, CA Phe Haru made some changes ans adjustments after a couple of customer reviews/inputs. They graciously gave me another drink, complimentary, to make sure I had a worthy drink. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The double creamy matcha far exceeded my expectations. It was a beautiful vibrant green. The thick creamy foam was earthy and smooth with a good matcha kick. I love offbeat's matcha, but Caphe Haru is just as great and more convenient for me. Its definitely one of the better matcha drinks in Sacramento/EG.
Ca Phe Haru added some seasonal drinks that were super delicious as well. It was different so we wanted to give it a try. The sweet potato latte was sooo good. You can definitely taste the warm sweet potato with the coffee. I wanted to try the chestnut next time.

Was passing through Elk Grove and stumbled across this little gem. I don’t drink coffee often but when I do I drink Vietnamese coffee. Came in and tried their ube Vietnamese coffee and hands down the best I’ve had. Forsure will be a returning customer

-Pros: quiet, clean and decent space -Cons: double matcha is plain and no sugar in the drink, there should be option for sugar if they want to sell their drink plain like so. Staffs are lacking of basic customer service training. And they charge more for card payment without proper sign or informing customer beforehand, that's unethical practice to me. Not worth coming.
