A good friend of mine is a well-known regular at Chason’s (think the Cheers intro theme song) and has heightened my curiosity to pay the restaurant a visit. On a rainy late afternoon, my wife and I decided to pay them a visit for our weekly cheat meal infused date night. Entering the establishment, we were greeted by a myriad of mouthwatering aromas and a friendly employee standing at the front podium. Since the restaurant was fairly empty at the time, he sat us in a booth of our preference and quickly provided us with waters (remember when all restaurants used to willingly do this) and menus.

For our first round of drinks, my wife opted for a dirty martini and I ordered an old fashioned. Less than 10 minutes later our drinks were being delivered to our table by the bartender. After one sip I realized that I found my spot for old fashioneds. Unlike some that I have had in the past, this version had a perfect mixture of whiskey and bitters. Therefore, it was flavorful yet potent at the same time. Although not hungry enough to order a proper meal (I’m saying this in my best British accent), we decided that we should have some sort of snack before engaging in round two of drinks.

Our server Judy, highly recommended the Calamari (without Cajun spice) and the Cajun Garlic Fries. Considering the deliciousness of both the Calamari and the Cajun Garlic Fries (I must add that they were fairly large portions for the Happy Hour deal), we were very thankful for her recommendation. After getting some food into our systems, we opted to order round two of drinks. My wife chose the French Martini and I opted for a Mojito. Although refreshing and strong, the Mojito was no competition for the Old Fashioned. Judy’s customer service skills were superb and she did a great job of circling back with us (even though the restaurant was starting to fill up with patrons).

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and the overall vibes of the restaurant, it was the perfect atmosphere for a rainy date night. My wife has already made plans to have an upcoming girl’s night out here and I would love to check out their Thursday evening karaoke event (highly recommended by another friend of mine). Thank you Chason’s Crab Stadium!

Ended up here from a recommendation from a cousin of mine.... it was just okay..... we spent $456 and just received mediocre food and service.... the best thing amongst all the food we ordered was the chicken strips and fries....... first off, the menu is all over the place from crab to cornbread, tacos and pot stickers and more... the food is not up to par with all the hype and atmosphere is fairly generic. The jambalaya was more a a vegetable stew and the crab legs were mushy and soft..... flavoring was salty short ribs were okay but sides are not.... and the cucumber and orange slices for garnish was questionable...... it's too bad they are rated so high but dont meet the expectation

Good Fish &Chips.
The servers are nice and friendly and the service was prompt. The restaurant felt cleaned and cold. The lunch atmosphere was like eating in a 'sports bar in the morning', it was a little dark and dingy feeling. But I will come back for the F&C again and the Pasta Dishes and Catfish plates are on my list too.

Call restaurant on Sunday evening at 8:40? The restaurant hours closed at 10pm. Was told their kitchen closed at 8:40pm. If the restaurant not going to take anymore hours after certain hours, maybe your business should consider closing your restaurant at the hour of the kitchen closed!

I've had one vary poor experience with service, here but that was years ago. They make good cocktails & I have several favorite dishes including the calimari & chicken sandwich (both the crunchy & grilled versions). It's quite noisy, so not great for talking.

I picked an order to go and brought it home.
I ordered the crab clusters. It was so salty it was inedible. I called and talked to the manager and he said unless I brought it back in there was nothing he could do about it. I had already sat down to eat with a friend and didn't feel like getting on my car again and going out. I ended up throwing it out. You would think with the name crab in the name of the restaurant and one of the more expensive items on the menu, I could have been compensated somehow.

Everything was perfect!! The clams, mussels, shrimp, cooked just right. The quesadilla was amazing, and the soft shell crab was light and crispy. Service was attentive, would definitely return for another meal.

Went here for the crab and garlic noodles on Fathers Day and it was horrible. The crab still had poop on it so they don’t clean it good they just rinse it off, then they gave me empty crab legs disguised as an extra portion because the crab they gave me was small according to them so I got extra empty crabs legs they couldn’t give to anybody else so they found a way to give it to the “black guy”, also the garlic noodles are nasty, there was flys everywhere, had to kill 3 flys with the menu just to eat. I ordered the beef short ribs and it was nothing but fat mostly, but it did have a little flavor, but where’s the meat to eat? the server wasn’t very attentive and I was never asked how was I doing until it was observed I was finished so now of course they want their money and for me to leave, I received no service because they don’t expect a tip from a black man anyway, I complained and got a discount, the owner was a nice guy it seemed but as an African American man tbh this type of treatment is nothing new. I was offered a “catfish” meal for my troubles, when I said I had to go and couldn’t keep waiting he just offered a bigger discount and kept the food, I spent $56 and walked away still hungry. I had to go order a pizza after that. That was my last visit here ever and was one of the worst restaurant experiences I can remember.

Overall, I had a delicious time. I felt the sauce for the sea food in the stam bags was water down. Along with the sausage was below average. The seafood was delicious, and the sauces, though water down, still tasty. Oysters are 10/10 for me. Especially on Wednesday, $1 oysters 😋 Sevice was okay. It took longer than expected to get a bib and gloves and a few other exchanges, but it was not horrible. Would come back.

Great place to hang out and dine in. The food is great and the restroom is also clean. I would totally go back and also recommend this place to friends and family's.
