Traditional Afghan Food — Absolutely Delicious!
Chopan Kabob House is easily one of the finest Afghan restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of eating at. The food is tasty, fresh, and cooked to perfection every single time. I ordered the chapli kabob and lamb chops — both were seasoned to perfection and so juicy. The bolani was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor — just like home.
The service is warm, friendly, and always responsive. You can sense that it is a family-owned business with real pride in their cuisine. Portions are large, prices are reasonable, and the experience is first-rate.
If you are hungry for some authentic Afghan cuisine, Chopan Kabob House is the way to go. I will definitely go back — and bring some friends with me next time!

Very expensive with low quality food. Chopan Kabab is not real Afghani Chopan Kabab. Additionally they charge you 15% for tips which is weird and not mentioned in their menu.

A local treasure! We dined in on freshly-made bulani (bread stuffed with potatoes and chives) and chicken kabob. The chicken was grilled perfectly and the rice--delicious beyond description. Be sure to say yes to the carrots and raisins on top of the rice. . There was so much to eat that we left with plenty for later. I highly recommend the new Chopan Kabob House.

Absolutely delicious food, quick service, fantastic people. My first experience with Afghani food and the owner was happy to make recommendations and explain the spice blends and cooking methods. Get the rice with the carrots and raisins, I could eat it every single day for the rest of my life and be happy.

It was the first time we ate at Chopan Kabob House last week. I don't know about the previous owner. But the new owner cooked for us and served us. The food was excellent and the quantity was more than enough. The tables are simple but clean. The home-made hummus with the naan-bread was to die for. The bread with potatoes and chives inside was so moist and tasty. I had to take a few of the leftover pieces home for my mom to try and she said she has never had bread this tasty. The owner was also very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely go back to try other varieties on their menu.

The overall service was not good at all. We ordered one kabob and one qabuli which came with burnt raisins and carrots on top, they both had the same rice, which was not fresh specifically the rice.

I rarely go to this restaurant but decided to go when I heard there were new owners. Reason I stopped going prior was because of the prior owners shifting the restaurant to-go only even though there is a huge sitting area and several tables. Glad i went back because the new owners are really nice and the food is actually really tasty. We had the 4 kabob platter and everything was pretty good but the Chicken and Tikka kabob stood out as the best. Potato bolani was great and the chutney was really tasty. Asked for a bowl of yogurt and it was also tasty. Only thing I do miss is the white sauce given before. Will be back

We were there for dinner with my family. It was our first time there, however the owner and the lady working in the back were super friendly and the food was amazing. I highly recommend Kabuli Pilow which is the an excellent combination of rice, caramelized carrots, raisins and meat.

Dining at this Afghan restaurant was an absolute pleasure. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth. The service was prompt, and the staff was so friendly. We started with a dish of borani kadoo, and it was rich and flavorful, followed by a tender lamb dish. The restaurant’s ambiance is cozy with a beautiful blend of modern touches and traditional Afghan design. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Unfortunately as of APRIL 1st 2025, chopan was sold to new owners, I have to say, ITS DISGUSTING. Just got the combination plate and lemme start off with the rice, undercooked, no salt, the TIKA KEBAB was cooked for WAY too long, it was rubbery and stale. The chicken was over cooked as well. I am very disappointed and saddened that the old owners left. I would NOT recommend anyone to this place now.
