My fellow workers and I came here for lunch yesterday. Our order contained general chicken , the boa sandwich x2 and the soup . As we start to partake , my coworker that ordered the soup lifts her spoon up and a long legged bug is dangling from her spoon . We flag a server down and notify her of the discovery and she takes the bowl away and asks my coworker if she would like another bowl . I ask is this from the same batch this bowl came from ? She says , yes . My coworker says no thank you . Mind you , this bug is sitting on the table and no one comes to wipe it up ! We all say , we can't continue with our order . At the same time , a man who is eating alone starts spitting his food out and is visually stun! He asked the server to come over and she takes his order away . We have no idea what happened.

First time customer experience. We were looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Elk Grove that would deliver. Golden Dragon was recommended to me by an associate. The online ordering experience and delivery service (provided by DoorDash) were both very convenient and the food quality was actually quite good! However the price was much more expensive than other restaurants. We ended up spending $95 ordering the same four favorite dishes that we generally spend $65 for at our favorite restaurant! While this was a delicious and convenient experience, we will not likely dine here regularly. Convenience simply isn't worth the additional cost in my opinion.

I waited 15 minutes before opening to be first because I was on a time budget and made it in as the first customer. I ordered before anyone else yet I got my food significantly later than anyone else in the restaurant and what I ordered was a basic chow mein, white rice, walnut shrimp, and Thai tea. My chow mein was soakin in oil and the bottom of the container was a pool of it. The walnut shrimp was bland almost tasteless, and the Thai tea sucked. The white rice wasn't great either. The waitress was inattentive, unapologetic, and one even sported a hickie on her neck smh. This was my first visit and my last as well. Will not recommend. I paid $50 for a terrible experience. What a rip off. Do not support this business.

So glad I found this place! Food is always fresh. No "off" days when the food didn't taste as fresh or as good as the last time i was there. Golden dragon never disappoints. My new go to, when I'm craving Chinese food.

The general chicken is made with BBQ sauce and it's disgusting. The absolute WORST Chinese dish that I have ever had Lazy lazy lazy way to make a popular Chinese dish. Panda express would have been better (as long as it's not the Waterman location). Won't eat here again. Waste of money...threw it in the trash along with the General chicken.

The worst service I have ever received. Young shift lead was rude, didn't speak , didn't bring water until we asked, didn't say hello back or you're welcome, said it's a culture difference and she doesn't have to say you're welcome because she is Mexican (has blue eyes) I'm Mexican what does that have to do with anything? I'm at a Chinese restaurant! Literally- was talking with her hands, being aggressive & unprofessional. I got angry and literally started being aggressive as well. When simply I asked why she was being rude!! We were walking out and she told us to get a life. We then turned around and I had to get aggressive back & told her I would come back when she got off !! I'm still in shock! I have never in life been to a business where we were treated so bad! Asked for management info and she refused to give it and said she was the manager. I am beyond disappointed- especially in a place that has been around so long.

Apparently when I order Mongolian beef I get a box full of onion.. $16 for a box of a $.50 onion. Makes sense ?♂️

So this was my first and last time I go to this restaurant. My sister ordered my food online and it gives you a number to call for curbside service, and it didn't work, they only have two spaces for curbside parking and if you didn't place the order yourself be prepared and have the person's ID. Which I find kind of ridiculous. The food wasn't worth the time. Again I won't be going back.
