Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

Love their ice creams !!!!

Outdoor area was dirty and covered in flys. Ice cream was great but I dont plan on coming back

UPDATE: Thank you for your response. Since my kid and I did not leave there with ice cream I felt like I was not accommodated. We felt disappointed. And yes the worker who initially helped us felt rushed, like she wanted to get to the next customer quickly. She was not rude tho. And just a reminder the $20 bill is the most commonly counterfeited bank note. There's also plenty of other businesses that accept $50. With respect your policy is not accommodating to customers. I left there without ice cream.

Not very accommodating, inviting or friendly. There were only young workers there and no manager at hand. Also on another note this 50 dollar bill policy has to stop. I was just trying to get my kids ice cream and there was hundreds of dollars being exchange and you can't break my 50 dollar because of your policy

Chocolate chunk is the best flavor! I go here once a week to pick up ice cream on the way home. This ice cream beats every other brand.

The ice cream is delicious as always. The only problem I had was the worker (not sure her name)was extremely rude. Giving my group and I attitude and dirty looks.

It’s like a walking drive-through. Which is a cool concept. Large variety for types of ice cream.

For whatever reason, my family loves coming here even if it’s 60° outside so I’ve grown to like this place

Parking: If you can’t find parking, that’s attached to the location. You have to park across the street. Not like it’s a longer walk, but for whatever reason people have started driving down that street recklessly so when you have your kids with you, it becomes a stressful situation.

If you’ve read my past reviews, you have probably gathered that I’m a pretty frugal person. I try to buy things only when on sale, I search feverishly for coupon codes when shopping online, and I try my hardest not to make impulse purchases (I’m definitely a work in progress when it comes to this one). Therefore, when my sister and my son suggested that I check out Handels Ice Cream, I was a bit skeptical. Although the prices aren’t crazy expensive, it’s definitely not as reasonable as Rite Aid’s (if you can find one that is still in business) ice cream.

Upon walking up to the outdoor stand, we were greeted by an employee ready to take our orders. After browsing the overwhelming variety of options (I spotted at least five other flavors that intrigued me), I opted for the Chocoholic Peanut Butter Ripple. Two minutes later we were walking away from the order window immediately taking licks of our ice cream. Based on the taste of my order, I can definitely see what the hype is about and why there is no comparison to Rite Aid ice cream. The chocolate and peanut butter was very rich and flavorful; so rich that I almost neglected to eat lunch because I felt like I consumed a meal.

If you see the stellar Yelp reviews and hear the buzz in the streets, know that the hype is real! Thank you Handels EG!
