First time trying Curry Up Now. Got take out. It was amazing! The 69 Chicken was pretty spicy hot but perfectly cooked. Loved the lentils and the turmeric rice was delicious.
Parking: Plenty of parking.
Second time here and I recently had the Chicken Tikka Masala bowl with cauliflower instead of rice. Presentation along with the atmosphere looked really pretty. Spice/Taste-wise it was personally a little bland (compared to home-cooked and “authentic” Indian restaurants); however, I’m okay with that as I could see this place maybe trying to reach a demographic that perhaps haven’t tried Indian food before. Price was more than other Indian restaurants for what you get.The food came out very fast, which is good if you have an entire family that’s super hungry. The soda fountain tap machine is really good. The only negative are the mason jar glasses. There was a chip on mine which caught my lip, but didn’t cut me. Mason jars of the smaller size do tend to chip easily.
My second visit and I'm very impressed. Food is consistent in flavor and good portions. Service was outstanding, friendly and quick! Will be back again.
1st time eating here and will definitely be back. Great flavor. Good customer service. Ordered the samosas and hella vegan burrito. I'm not a connoisseur of Indian food so I'm not exactly sure if samosas are supposed to be super crunchy but these were. The hella vegan also contain chucks of samosa that were super crunchy.
Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options.
Parking: Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Curry Up Now in Elk Grove, and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish! The restaurant is conveniently located next to Costco, making it an easy stop for anyone running errands in the area. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Roshni, the manager, who provided us with exceptional service throughout our meal. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Her warm hospitality really added to our dining experience. We ordered the veg thali, and it did not disappoint! The dish came with naan, saag, channa, paneer tikka, yellow rice, and a samosa. Everything was cooked to perfection and spiced just right, making every bite burst with flavor. The paneer tikka in particular was a standout, with a sauce that was simply divine. To top it off, Roshni brought out some chai for us, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. I left feeling satisfied and happy, already planning my next visit. Overall, I highly recommend Curry Up Now in Elk Grove, and especially commend Roshni for her amazing service. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. It's definitely a spot worth checking out!
Really fresh tasting and a very nice level of spiciness. We came in after the lunch rush for a late lunch. Staff was very welcoming and helped to guide us through the menu. A nice amount of food for the price. We will definitely return!
The ordering of the food was very easy to do, along with having enough options to make sure that it was done correctly. Then picking it up at the restaurant went very smoothly. And finally the food was very good, which was a nice surprise. We will definitely come back.
Vegetarian options: Appreciate that there were vegetarian options as my girlfriend needs those menu choices. She also recommended this place so she definitely likes it too
I attended the grand opening in Elk Grove this morning. They were giving the first 1000 people free food...There was a mass of people but the staff was well organized. They provided us appetizers and a mango drink that were delicious..We had a Vegan, paneer \u0026 a chicken bowl..They all were delicious \u0026 worth a try.....enjoy..
The food is delicious with just the right amount of heat - at first, I didn't think it was enough heat, but it was a slow build that grew as I made my way through my meal. It never became too much though - perfect amount of heat. I can't speak to the authenticity of the "street food" because everyone in my family ordered bowls or rice plates as opposed to a hand-held street food - which are the ones most reviewers are critical of. But yhe meals are tasty- I will definitely be back ! My only criticism is that the online ordering system automatically added a $10+ tip on a takeout order ?. Yeah... so watch for that if ordering online.
Total waste of money.

Yes, we went there today with a great excitement on seeing their menu. We were six including two teens . The food was cold and without any taste anyhow the tea was excellent . All finished the one third of the order. I will never go there again.God bless the owner.thanks.
I got the Sexy Fries with Paneer Tikka Masala and chicken Tikka Masala burrito. The Tikka Masala sauce was a bit sweeter than I expected but still delicious and full of spices. Both the paneer and chicken were tender and all the food was delicious. I would definitely get them again. They also had a great selection of unique soda flavors and a nice mango lassi. The address on Google maps is incorrect. It's actually near 7470 Elk Grove Blvd #100, Elk Grove, CA 95757 by the SomiSomi.
Ordered take-out for lunch. Have been waiting excitedly for curry up now to open and I’m glad their online ordering is working. Walked in to see some new staff being trained, grabbed my order from the cashier, and brought it back to the car in almost no time. Everyone seemed friendly, and the food was warm and delicious. The burritos are a bit much to handle in one sitting— with a size comparable to that of an overstuffed chipotle burrito— but the samosa chaat was incredible. I can’t wait to go back and try out more of the menu (and order the samosa chaat again!)
Decent food and good service! Someone else in the reviews mentioned it's not "authentic" Indian street food. I'm not from India so I can't say too much about that but it's important to recognize that this is a U.S. based chain restaurant. So, of course it's not going to be authentic. However, this does not mean the food is bad. It's actually pretty good. I would come again.
We were so excited when we saw this place was opening, but I have never been more disappointed in my life. Everything looked nice, but the food tasted disgusting. The Gol Gappe pani had way too much masala in it, and the gol gappe were broken. When I told the girl who served us, she just laughed. I understand you're going to hire teenagers, but at least have someone who knows what each dish is called and what it's supposed to taste like. We will never go back. I grew up in New Delhi and live in Punjabi, so I know what Indian street food is supposed to taste like. THIS IS NOT IT.Save your money, everything on the menu is available at any India restaurant.
Vegetarian options: Indian food in general has a lot of Vegetarian options.
