Kajiken is a Michelin recommended restaurant, a favorite ramen place for many. It is the kind of spot you find in the Bay Area, now located in Elk Grove. The restaurant is a very clean and small space, a bit small as expected, but it feels very much like a little restaurant in Japan somewhere. The atmosphere is bright, welcoming, and has great lighting.
This ramen place specializes in the dry version of ramen, called aburasoba. It is delicious, warm and savory, full of flavors, and perfect for the cold season. The noodles are nice and chewy and fresh. Popular dishes include the signature Homura Aburasoba, their number one seller, and the Nikumori Aburasoba, a spicy dish with a good kick. Other meals are the Soboro Aburasoba, Mushroom Aburasoba, and Roast Beef Aburasoba, to which you can add a poached egg and bok choy. The food is very reasonably priced, scrumptious, and high quality, with many rating it a 10/10. An appetizer like the Ika Geso Calamari Karaage is also available.
The service is amazing, quick, and easy. The staff is always kind, friendly, helpful, polite, and very informative, especially for first timers, making the experience feel so authentic. It is an amazing experience that does not disappoint, leading customers to return soon.
