I putchased a combo meal, noted cost on the menu and after sales tax the total cost didn't seem to add up. Did the math, total cost definitely didn't add up. I looked at my recipt and saw an extra charge for KFC FOUNDATION. I inquired about the charge and the cashier told me that it was a tax that KFC adds. I replied "No, tax was already added to my bill". Then she told me that it's a donation for a scholarship foundation. I was not informed or asked permission which is not legal. I didn't hear anyone else in line before me asked if they would like to donate to a KFC FOUNDATION which tells me i'm probably not the only one. I recieved a refund for the unauthorized extra charge. Pay attention to your recipt people.

I’m so disappointed after being a resident of Elk Grove for 26 years and never had any of the fast food places do this. I ordered a meal that should have cost me under $14 dollars. The supervisor told me the price at the pick up window and I handed him my card. I drove off and realized that he didn’t get the order right so I turned around and came back. I drove back through the drive thru and at the order board told the same supervisor who helped me that the order was given to me incorrectly. They told me to pull forward. When I got to the window a different person was helping me at the window and I can see the supervisor who helped me first hiding behind the window even though he didn’t know I could see him, but I didn’t say anything. As I returned the food through the window the employee asked me did I touch the food and I told him yes. I looked and he put the food bag in the food area with the other chicken to give the food to someone else, instead of him throwing the food out. A couple of hours after getting home I checked my bank and noticed I was over charged for my food. The supervisor charged me more money than he told me and this was done on purpose. He thought I returned because he over charged me and that’s why he was hiding, but at the time I had only returned because the order was incorrect. I had no idea that he over charged my card.
You can tell that the supervisor has done this to a lot of people and this wasn’t his first time. When people do this running a register they are pocketing the difference from your payment. He never provided me a receipt.
I’m extremely disappointed that you can’t even trust people in public places with your credit card. Let alone make sure that you are getting fresh food that wasn’t returned from another customer. He needs to be fired for doing this. This is fraud and against the health code.

The food here is good its just prepared like crap. Skip this location. Burnt chicken , some not burnt but under cooked and they only seem to have that mystery piece of chicken that no onw knows where it comes from. It was no supprise as the employees seemed to be more interested in mixing soda flavors for themselves than getting orders and food right. Skip this location.

I got the two piece yesterday & it was the worst chicken I’ve ever tasted. I couldn’t eat it, taste like it was old. Nothing like the famous KFC flavor. Potatoes & gravy were good & the biscuit was okay.
After waiting for 10 mins they told us to wait for another 11 mins for chicken. Seems like they went to Costco to get chicken. Will never come back here...and only Asians works here....wonder

Its 842 pm Thursday Dec 14, 2023. Ordered online delivery but it had the wrong number and had to cancel and reorder. Headaches later through Doordash support, I just drive here and the staff were all very understanding and helpful in resolving the issue. Making the extra effort to post this immediately after the whole situation because I appreciate the effort the staff put into helping me. Thanks KFC Team

Just passing through on a Burney Falls road trip. Stopped here and was immediately impressed. There was a lady at the counter with a smile and ready to take our order. We wanted to make adjustments to our order and it didn’t seem to bother her a bit. We walked to the dining area and the restaurant was just so clean. Our order was ready and EVERY EMPLOYEE had a smile on their face. I could tell they were genuinely happy and enjoyed working here. NOW I say all this because I live near Oakdale Ca. Everyone I know avoids that KFC like the plague. It’s dirty, employees are rude, and your order is never what you ask for. 8579 Elk Grove KFC should be the University for all KFC’s. Oh… and even the bathroom was spotless. This is definitely a 5 star KFC…. From customer service, excellent food, extremely clean dining area, and spotless bathroom. Just a delightful stop all the way around!
Parking: Parking was great, I had luggage in my truck so I was able to see my vehicle the entire time while dining in. Such a pleasant experience.
Kid-friendliness: I felt extremely safe and very clean for my child to be a child.
