Decent place, the restaurant itself seems a bit outdated, no booths seating, good food and service. One minus on my visit was the miso soup not hot when it came out. Quite disappointing in cold weather. All other food was good. We tried pot stickers, sesame chicken, princess deep-fried roll and Katalina roll. Recommended.

The service is honestly the best we've seen in Elk Grove. All workers are always so nice and attentive. The food has always been amazing and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. From a non sushi fan, the bento boxes are top notch! My husband has always loved every roll he's ordered too. Kintaro is always our go to sushi place!

First time here and will not be the last! Staff were amazing and friendly. I decided to try tuna crunch on a whim and assuming it was cooked but it wasn't and it was sooo amazing. I ordered it two more times. It got better with every bite. It was perfectly crunchy, soft, spicy and airy. Just sooo good. The salad I forgot the name but it was amazing. Couldn't stop eating it. The rolls were amazing. We ordered a ton so I don't remember the name. I would say the deep fried roll was okay. Kids ordered that so yeah lol. I will definitely keep coming back. The place could be a bit bigger but overall I love it here so much.
I’ll start off by saying the service was pretty excellent albeit a little new. He was really attentive and did his best to accommodate any way he can. But unfortunately the food was really not good. I ordered two rolls gluten free, and one came out with tempura(not gluten free) and the other had tempura stuck to the bottom which I didn’t realize till I was already eating it. The rolls were weirdly warm for a cold roll, covered in cross contamination and overall just tasted a little off. My girlfriend’s order also looked terrible honestly and none of their spicy rolls looked like they actually had any sauce in the spicy tuna and they said tasted really bland and not spicy. A bummer because we’re always looking for new sushi spots but the cross contamination thing makes this not a choice for me in the future. Hopefully they work on that because the space is nice and the servers are friendly.

This place is amazing! The staff and servers are so friendly and made sure that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves the whole time. They weren’t overly checking in which I do not like! They checked in the right amount of times so that we could enjoy our dinner with tout constantly being asked questions! The food was also top notch! The price is reasonable and inexpensive without compromising on food quality. If I could, I would give it 6/5 stars. I am definitely coming back when I crave sushi!Vegetarian options: They had avocado and cucumber rolls for vegetarians and vegans!

So my wife and I decided to stop in for a last minute lunch. We were wanting to try some sushi with cucumber wrapped around it instead of rice. Well Kintaro knocked it out of the park! The service was great. The food was nice and fresh. The environment was calm and relaxing. A great way to try a new style/flare of sushi. We truly enjoyed ourselves. We look forward to returning to this place…

I'll start by saying that I come here often for lunch and the lunch hour crew is fabulous and deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, the evening crew is constantly awful. I've wasted two trips for dinner. The first was a total embarrassment as I had recommended this place for a large group. We waited forever for a table even though several were available. I finally had to ask someone why we were still waiting and suddenly we were seated. And we had another 20+ minute wait to be waited on. Things continued like this the whole visit and the wait staff had attitudes the whole time. I just tried it again, just me this time and what a surprise. Very few people there so I got seated right away. Then I sat for 20 minutes while parties who can in after me got waited on. I had enough and got up and left. I will never go here for dinner again.
