I started popping in to this donut shop when it first opened. Not too often because my waistline and wallet needed to be looked after, but it became my go-to donut place whenever there was a birthday, a school event, or I was just craving a sweet treat. It’s still a nice little place, but I have to say it’s not as good as it once was. Before, I could go in during any time of their business hours and find a good variety of different donuts filling their case, and a good number of people waiting to order and/or sitting to enjoy a chat and a treat or a show on their TV. The owner would greet me, chat a bit while filling my box, and maybe even add in an extra donut hole or two. Now, the staff has changed a couple times, the tables and chairs (and TV?) are all gone, the interior is more spacious and updated, but the place has more of a modern, “To-Go” vibe now. When I went this morning (around 9 AM) only part of the case was full, so I only purchased 6 donuts + 6 donut holes which came to over $16. I was really surprised because the delivery price for 1/2 dozen assorted online showed $8.50 - $10.99 depending on the size/variety of the donuts. I didn’t fight it because I’d much rather pay more to support a small business that puts out high-quality product than a chain shop that just makes so-so items. But when I got home and took a bite, the donuts were super sweet this time, way sweeter than I remember (like they accidentally added the sugar twice). I honestly don’t know if we’ll be finishing this box. It’s not the same as it used to be. Still a good add to the neighborhood, but just not what it was.

This is really the best donut place in town. Not only do they make little holiday themed donuts that are SUPER cute and delicious, but the staff are ALWAYS friendly, generous, helpful, and welcoming. Even if this place is a little out of your way it’s worth it!l and very very affordable. One of the last places that are!

I usually stop by KJ Donuts when I’m working in the Elk Grove area. They have a really good variety of donuts and croissants, and the quality is consistently impressive. What truly sets them apart from other donut shops is that their donuts never taste like burnt oil, everything tastes fresh and well-made.
Their croissants are delicious, the customer service is great, the store is always very clean, and the coffee is fresh. The only thing I think could be improved is offering more coffee variety.
Overall, the vibe of the store is excellent, and it’s a great place to grab breakfast or a quick treat. Highly recommended!
