I've eaten a fair amount of Ramen. This ranks amongst the best. I had the Maru Ramen and from the moment the bowl was placed onto the table, I could smell the deep aroma of flavor. Let's start with the garlic and the pork broth...was great from first taste to last drop. Perfect amount of spice heat but not too spicy and same for salt level. Ramen has a bite and the pork Char siu has that nice char and was excellent but was second to the generous pork cheek slices....
I just moved to Elk Grove last summer and just found out about this spot. My partner is vegan, so we were looking for a good spot for vegan ramen. We absolutely love their vegan tantanmen ramen! It has a rich smokey spicy flavor and the noodles are always cooked well.

The pork cheek was easy to eat and chew. I quite enjoyed it. The noodles' texture wasn't too hard to bite. My hubby enjoyed his Maru ramen bowl, with lots of toppings. The staff was friendly.
