I've been here a few times for special occasions and each time my experience was not that great due to some reasons. Reason #1, this restaurant seems to be severely understaffed...the staff seem unapproachable, stressed, overwhelmed and even rude. We did not have a friendly, welcoming service/experience whatsoever. We felt tension from the staff from the moment we came in until we left. #2, I'm pregnant and asked each time if they can accommodate 1 small change in my roll & edamame because I cannot have that or it upsets my stomach and was told no and that it will either be an extra charge or it's "not possible" regardless of me mentioning and it being very obvious I'm pregnant. I found that very strange and inconsiderate. #3, My husband had the rice and teriaki chicken plate that we shared and both agreed it was the worst teriaki plate we have ever had. Both the chicken and teriaki sauce tasted terrible.

Unexpected vibe as we entered. Waiter had poor communication skills (okay rude...) and told us to wait for seating although they were probably only about 50% capacity on a Saturday evening. Another waiter that served us was wearing a pair of shorts which seemed awkward (okay unprofessional...) He wasn't very clear when taking orders as he spoke very low and quickly. The sushi chefs were working hard and fast and the sushi rolls were cost friendly that was the highlight. The food itself was nothing exciting to make it a destination again.

Sushi rice was bland and mushy, no way this was fresh or prepared by someone expertly trained. The sashimi plate did not contain the prime cuts, and server tried to convince us the yellowtail belly meat was the preferred cut. What a joke. Just because you say you are “fusion” does not allow you to serve substandard cuts of fish. First time ever leaving fish on the plate. The “sushi chef” team working on 9/30/24 should all be embarrassed. There are better sushi restaurants in Elk Grove, that aren’t a part of this bloated, sterile chain.
Super elevated prices, with a sports bar feel. No thanks.
Parking: As time goes on, parking should continue to get easier and easier.

The shop has probably not been in operation for long, perhaps less than 1 year, so everything still has a lot to add. The food is of good quality, not excellent but not bad, only the soup needs improvement because it's mostly soup.
The staff also doesn't pay too much attention to customers and when ordering food, you have to wait quite a long time.
The restaurant is clean but the space is a bit dark, not Japanese-style dark but really very dark.
Parking: There are many parking spaces right in front of the restaurant

The sushi rolls are delicious and very affordable. The suffed mushrooms are also fantastic. The calamari is not your typical calamari. It was beer battered and not that good but not terrible.. We thoroughly enjoyed the sushi though and will be back!
Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu.

nice ambiance and interior. the menu was a bit underwhelming; i found almost no rolls that didn't have either (mostly shrimp) tempura, spicy tuna, or cream cheese. my biggest critique is the lack of diversity in the menu, which resulted in most of the rolls sounding nearly identical. the food itself was good enough to satisfy a sushi craving but nothing unique. if I were to rank the rolls we ordered, it would go from right to left. took around 20 minutes for our food to come out on an unbusy night. Mizuki is a nice spot as a nearby and spontaneous trip, but I would not plan to go here because of great food.

Really nice restaurant and the sushi here is really good and fresh. They also have half off sushi and it’s so worth it. We really enjoy this restaurant and the entire family loves it also. Nice restaurant and great sushi can’t really complain.

Decided to finally try this place and I am so glad I did! I went this past Monday, not busy, greeted promptly and was able to look at the menu to place my to go order. I always order Unagi Nigiri when trying out a new place, so let me just say this....those 2 pcs were the biggest pieces I have ever received! With so many choices of 50% off rolls, I decided on the Spider, Shrimp Lover and Friday. They were all yummy and I know I will be back to try more.

So we were at Fed Ex and then decided to try this place since we seen the signs saying they were open. The food was great, as always fresh and super fast as with most Sushi places. The service was great super quick to explain specials and refill drinks. The atmosphere was nice and calm for lunch. We are very pleased with what we ordered and how it was brought out. Go in and have it for your self so you can see ;)
