When a friend reached out wanting to chat about starting a strength training (one of my hobbies) routine, I was ecstatic and couldn’t wait to meet. Since we were chatting about something in the health & wellness realm, I figured that it would only be appropriate to meet at an establishment that serves a healthy product (depending on who you ask)…Nekter Juice Bar. This was my first visit to Nekter, so I was looking forward to trying one of their drinks.

When we entered the establishment, an employee looked at us halfheartedly signaling that she was ready to take our order…not the best way to acknowledge a customer. My friend and I both ordered the Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein smoothie, which was a perfectly timed post-workout treat for me. Being a fan of pretty much anything containing peanut butter, I found the smoothie to be good, but a little underwhelming. Underwhelming because I felt like the peanut butter drizzle was overpowered by the other ingredients (i.e., cocoa powder, banana, etc.), which was disappointing considering that I thought the peanut butter flavor would be more dominant.

Although I wasn’t thrilled by my first experience, I may return to try the Toxin Flush or Green Apple Detox juice(s).

Açaí was very old and black in color. Virtually no flavor whatsoever so ever. Presentation was great but no visual appeal to the brown/black açai

Today I got a pink flamingo smoothie that was delicious and the service was better than I would’ve expected. I thought Nekter would be like Jamba Juice but it was certainly better in every way

Ordered toxin flash juice with extra ginger but didn’t get ginger at all.
There was a thick sediment layer. I asked what was the issue and they told me that it is normaly so

Ordered a smoothie at the Elk Grove location to go, order was ready by the estimated time given. Great customer service and great tasting smoothies and juices.

I ordered 2 berry drinks. 1 with Pea Protein, and 1 WITHOUT Pea Protein. My sister is allergic to pea protein. I let the worker know 3x while I was ordering because i just had a bad feeling they'd forget or somehow mess up and plus i just want to make sure my sis can get her drink right without it hurting her.

Me reminding the worker 3x
"1 with Pea protein, and 1 WITHOUT"
"Just to confirm one has no pea protein"
"Please make sure one does not have pea protein due to allergy"
And she confirms my order.

She comes out with the 2 drinks, and both looking identical, no mark or signs of telling which one is pea or non pea protein. I asked her which one is the pea protein? And she hesitated and says, "i think this one maybe.." I said can you remake it then if you don't know which one?

Then she said, "Actually we MIGHT'VE put PEA Protein in BOTH"

I am just really saddened right now with this service, and care. Just human decency. I get it, we all mess up, and I understand we all have our days where we may not be feeling it, but i am surprised by this person getting hired. I love Nekter, but i have had too many bad experiences with the services here at Nekter Elk Grove. Now having to write this review as it's the most important to me as the topic has to do with allergies.

They couldn't remake the drink since they ran out of strawberries, the manager said they were okay with making a different drink, but i opted out. Man the heck.

I would opt for a different smoothie place they gave my Uber driver my smoother without any packaging he was just free handing it all the way to my door. My first order i received it in a bag along with a safety sticker.
