Fantastic beer hall. They have decent finger food, generous happy hour, and the space has a rustic and welcoming atmosphere.
This is an excellent find in Elk Grove. The Croquettes are amazing. The beer options are unique. Mostly imported. I highly recommend this place for good food, service & atmosphere. I was provided with several samples that were excellent.
Charming Brunch Spot
I recently visited Prost for Mimosas and brunch, and it was a delightful experience! The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. I tried their signature biscuits and gravy. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Overall, a lovely spot to enjoy a leisurely brunch with friends. Highly recommend!
What a refreshing establishment for great drinks and super tasty food...this used to be one of Elk Groves much frequently used bar and Restaurant, The General Store...the Prost Beer hall brings new life to this long standing place...awesome food, great service and reasonable prices, as must eat place in EG!
Good portions, large soft warm pretzels, beer.
Prost is a real gem. A beautiful building with equally beautiful food and drink. The beer list is so thoughtful with European classics and eclectic modern breweries alike. The food is stunning— I crave the schnitzel often. My wife has enjoyed the cocktails and our kids love the spatzle too!

The place itself and service were stellar. The food though… never again! I had the schnitzel burger with a side of potato salad. The schnitzel was flat and dry. Burger bun was burned inside. Potato salad seemed store bought, like a bucket from Costco or Safeway, and was dry and bland. The pretzels my friends had were SOAKED in butter and dripped! That’s not how pretzels are served! Not going there for the food ever again. Drinks are good.

We recently had Prost Beer Hall in Elk Grove cater our Oktoberfest auction event, and they exceeded all expectations! The food was authentic, delicious, and perfectly captured the spirit of Oktoberfest. Their team was professional, friendly, and ensured everything ran smoothly. Even though the event wasn’t at their restaurant, they provided exceptional service and attention to detail.
Thank you so much for being part of our fundraiser! Prost!

My new favorite restaurant! Every aspect great from walking up the front steps to leaving.
1st, dogs are allowed outside, however only 3 tables out front on EG, so might need to wait if dog w you. We arrived when table just opened and sat down when peps leaving. As soon as we sat down, KK, a really nice young lady, instantly came out to clean table. Saw we had dogs and brought a bowl of water for them, without us asking. Then our waiter Travis was right there to take order. We ordered a beer and cider (awesome cider and I know cider!, also DH said his beer was good too) The drinks were brought to table while we were still telling what we wanted for food. Food came out quick, hot, and was really good. After eating, went inside to use restroom. Super clean. I really liked the inside with communal tables. Good large bar area too with tvs. Look forward to bringing friends and sharing a table to this new place. Highly recommend and support this new local establishment. The staff was intelligent and interacted with conversation with us and took time to ensure everything was good, including checking if even dogs needed their water refilled.

Food was amazing. They don't have sodas but the alchoholic drinks are tasty AF and not expensive. Definitely an adult restaurant. A bit loud but overall very friendly and a joyous atmosphere.

My husband and I tried this place for the first time. We did Sunday brunch. I ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon and he ordered the corned beef hash. I loved my meal and he loved his! Server, Zoey was wonderful! She explained anything we asked. Highly recommend trying this place out.

Ended up here with a pretty big group (8 people) and they let use their back room for a Fantasy Draft. The location and facility was great, very open and welcoming. The beer menu was solid, lots of German options, and I ended up with a tasty Marzen. Food wise, I tried and enjoyed the following; Pretzel, Pickles, Schnitzel Sandwich, Fries. Others at the table also enjoyed their food.
Our server KK was fantastic the whole time we were there, which admittedly was like 2+ hours, but she was great the whole time and should be commended. Definitely going back.
