We were passing by this restaurant and thought why not grab something for Iftar? We ordered our food and it was prepared quickly.Chicken shawarma platter- 7/10 (The rice was AMAZING!)Knafeh- 8/10Mantu- 6.5/10 (it was under-salted & I wasn’t a big fan of the beef being keema instead of reza but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Presentation of the Mantu was good though!)Lentil soup- 8/10 (more salt would be nice but it was good)Wings- 6.5-10 (they were good as well)French Fries and nuggets- 7/10It wasn’t the BEST food I’ve had but definitely also not the worst. It was good/average overall but I see that they have great potential!I wish them the best of luck.

"Royal Kabob & Gyro exceeded all expectations! From the moment I stepped in, the aroma of authentic spices filled the air, promising a culinary adventure. The staff was incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. As for the food, each dish was a masterpiece of flavor and freshness. The kabobs were tender and perfectly seasoned, while the gyros were packed with mouthwatering goodness. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or just looking for a delicious meal, Royal Kabob & Gyro is a must-visit destination!"

Good food but some items are pricey for no reason like their soups. $10 for a small cup. The staff also are limited with their interactions and cusomter service. The can be better and should be better. They have good potential. Highly recommended for quick bites.

Tl;dr: I'm asking for the lettuce on the side from now on. I've been on a yelp hiatus since the pandemic. So basically, my experience brought me out of retirement, lol. I ordered a gyro, lamb kebab, tabouli, and Bolani. My wife liked the tabouli, it was fresh and flavorful. She also enjoyed the lamb kebabs and had enough food for another dish. Her lettuce was fresh and everything was hot and tasty. I bit into my gyro, and at first, I liked how they prepared it they have a nice and crispy on the side where the bread is folded into the sandwich. Something smelled very vegetal. upon inspection, I noticed that there were several pieces of brown lettuce. After i took apart the sandwich, it appears that there were several rotten pieces of lettuce in my sandwich. It's not grease from the meat because the bread on the other side looks normal. So overall, I will order again from Royal, however I think if I order a sandwich then I'm going to ask for the lettuce on the side or order a rice plate. When I Royal itKebab again I will rewrite my review.

Be aware everyone!!The kabob plater) smelled bad it was left marinated for a long time and the qabili. Better to go to other restaurants like In-N-Out Burger and Chipotle, where always cook fresh every day wher’s they don’tWe’ll never visit again.

This place is a true hole in the wall kinda place, overshadowed by the crowded parking lot bustling with cars trying to get to In-n-out and Cane's, and the Rose Tea Lounge, it feels like this eatery is almost forgotten or overlooked. We were a bit leary when we walked into this empty restaurant on a Saturday, but decided to take a chance, and glad we did! The food was delicious! I'm not an Afghan food expert, but I judge all restaurants by the quality of the rice, and their basmati rice was cooked to perfection, so fluffy and flavorful! We enjoyed the Bolani (half-order was more than plentiful for two), Qabili was interesting, but got to say our favorite was definitely the mantoo and the beyti kabob! I imagine the flavors as something a loving grandmother would cook for us. Definitely had a homey feel to the flavors. This place doesn't look much inside, and not appealing for a hot date out, but we left feeling full and satisfied, and would definitely come back for the food! The high ratings on Yelp for this restaurant is not a fluke, it's for real!

Great food and great service! The Falafel wrap was fresh, tasty and filling. We had the salad and fries and both were very good. Will definitely visit again to try more of their menu items.
