I order food here a lot. I mainly do take out. I had ordered food during lunch for take out. Came home only to discover they forgot one of my items. The restaurant didn't even bother to call me. I called them to find out they knew they forgot one of my items, yet they didn't bother to call me to let me know. I asked for a refund. They said in order to refund, I would have to go back and return all the food. The cashier apologized and tried to help me...she said the owner wanted me to return the food. But I didn't have time to go back. The cashier said since it's their fault she will just refund me. But days later, still no refund.
I will no longer support this business.

This place is mediocre to me, I think the food was good, but it was so hot inside on a summer day, I don’t think there was A/C, the restaurant is small and very basic. For the same price I paid we could have a better experience somewhere else

Saw there was a new Thai place in Elk Grove, so I roped someone to try it out with me. The verdict? It's alright.
The menu highlight for us was the curry puffs. Surprised something so small packed such a punch of flavor! The cheese wontons was pretty good, too. The mango curry was decent, especially considering I came for the mango curry. I just wished they had bigger chunks of mango in it. The pineapple fried rice was kind of meh. It was a little too dry, making the flavor not as expected. Definitely on the lower half of our pineapple fried rice comparison chart. The pad thai was also just meh, as there wasn't a lot of the flavor one comes to expect with pad Thai. These two dishes in particular were a little bit of a let down. The mango sticky rice wasn't bad though. Definitely was a nice way to end the meal.
The staff was definitely very accommodating and nice. Mainly only saw one person on the floor, but they were taking orders, cleaning up, and always making sure our water cups was full like a champ!
Location wise, the restaurant is definitely a lot smaller than most smaller restaurants. There was only about maybe 5-8 tables or so, but it was pretty compact. I can definitely see why most people rather just order takeout.
Overall, definitely wouldn't mind ordering takeout for the curry puffs and mango curry, especially when I don't feel like driving too far.

Great food and friendly service. The restaurant dining room is small, but comfortable for small groups of four or less.

One of the best Thai restaurants I've been to, including the bay area. The Coconut has like 4 locations in Sac. Walked in on a Sunday night and it wasn't busy. Very small restaurant. We ordered the papaya salad $12, red curry $15, pad Thai $15, boat noodle soup $17. Every dish was excellent. We especially liked the boat noodle soup, which is hard to find. Generous portions and very reasonable prices. Service was good. Food came out quickly. Large parking lot with Tesla superchargers. Highly recommend

Was really excited to try this place and wanted some good Thai food and this was not it. Staff was nice but service was a little slow and food was not great at all. None of us enjoyed our food and was just disappointed all around. Noodles were dry and rice was just ok. Chicken didn’t have any flavor. Hoping to find a better Thai place out here in Elk Grove. Not sure how this place had such high reviews.

Very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. as others have said, it is a small restaurant so it feels a little crowded, but not terrible. The cheese wontons were bland, but the sauce helped a little bit. Both the chicken and shrimp pad thai lacked flavor and seasoning, service was abysmal, and they automatically added 18% gratuity for our family of four. We were excited to try this place after seeing the great Google reviews but we will not be wasting any more money here. The only dish that was edible was the shrimp Thai fried rice. It is such a shame that we had to ask so many times for our check and never got checked on or our waters refilled. We noticed other tables asked for their checks after we did and received them before, and other tables were waited on frequently while our table was completely ignored. It is unfortunate that the 18% tip was automatically included because the service we received really didn’t deserve a tip at all.

We were happy with Kim's help. Hoping you can start military discount as well, as we often go to many of your Coconut's places. Kim said she will ask. Please reach out.
