The boasted chicken dinner was great, the service was great. Only complaint my friends had was that the veggies that came with the dinner was definitely overcooked. It was mushy with no taste at all.

We were seated within a few minutes on Sunday late morning.Service was really good and food was decent ordered the California omelette which was very large and filling. It comes with sour cream, which I recommend getting on the side because they add quite a bit.

Service was beyond terrible. The customer experience is lacking. Black Bear was extremely busy too and gave an incredible customer experience after the horrible one at Mike's. It's down the street.

We went for dinner tonight and both had their Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich.... They were the BEST WE'VE EVER EATEN!!! Had split pea and ham soup and that was very very good too .... Now you need to know we eat their every single Thursday as it's their Sr. Night....So we've eaten their broasted chicken dinner, fried shrimp... Excellent also.. Fish n Chips... YUMMMMM.... If you live here in Elk Grove, you really need to try Mike's Diner....

Now I have been here before and wasn't disappointed. The only thing is this ONLY GET BREAKFAST! Do not I repeat do not get a burger or fries! The burger was burnt and flavorless. The fries soggy and the Chili was burnt. Very disappointing and should have gotten breakfast like I have always done.

Underrated place in Elk Grove. Food and service were great. Their milk shakes are *chef kiss* and their onion rings were perfectly battered. Burger and meat loaf were cooked to perfection. The steamed veggies needed some salt. I like the ambiance of the restaurant and their music selection.
