I am updating my previous review. As mentioned before this place is clean, food is great, and just needed some improvement in customer service. Well the last few times I went in for my clam chowder bread bowl the customer service has been excellent. Nice warm welcome as soon as I entered, and a thank you for coming in as I leave. Thanks for implementing the feedback. Every one has been super friendly. My husband's favorite is the pastrami sandwich and I took a bite and it is a must try.

For $12 you get a 4" inch sandwich that looks like something for a toddler. Ingredients old. If you're ever in Los Angeles and near Santa Monica, go to Bay Cities Deli. You've had the best when you've had the honor.

I always get the pastrami sandwich it's super good I love sourdough... they kinda don't give you that much meat ... which I get but it's more bread than meat ... and they have forgotten my side pickle many times ...other than that they are good ... they have your order on time ... it's clean in there ... i only order because it's so close to work . when im craving a sandwich

There's been recent new ownership and I couldn't be more happier to give this place a try again. The staff and owners are always so friendly and check in on us regularly. Theirs cleanliness throughout and can tell it's well-kept is very well maintained. It seems like good staffing because the pace is always speedily. My go to favorite for my girls are the bread bowl: clam chowder and their cookies. I've visit the location more often now that I have better experience at this location.

I had a great experience today which I want to share. I was having a bad day and I thought I was running late to my daughter's picnic day at her school. I told the cashier that I was in a hurry for my daughter's picnic day, and asked if there was anything she could do. To my surprise, she rushed my order and I was out and on my way in 5 minutes. This helped me to get to the picnic day just in time. This totally made my day! I don't know the name of the female cashier but I seriously want to thank her! I was having the worst day and she made it so much better.

Helpful tip from a fellow restaurant worker. It shouldn't been on the customer to check that the full order is in the bag before they leave. It's called standards and practices. If you want to raise the quality of your establishment, you have to provide quality to that customer. ? I'll change my review if you get my order right the next time.
