Very disappointing. They used to be much better during covid. I asked for Mexican chocolate muffins, cheesy rolls, bread sticks and T-shirts and was told "NO" since they're not related to the Valencia Street location (which has a much better selection). The person behind the counter was NOT friendly and the pizza dough was soggy. Overall it was a bad experience unfortunately. I'm not going back to San Pablo location.

I am a religious advocate of the Valencia location, so my first visit to this one was held with high expectations. I learned that each location is different and prices differently. I typically love the city sourdough rounds, but at the time I went, they only had longer, narrower loaves that were a dollar more. I also got a cheese roll. The bread was good and the cheese roll was acceptable. I generally like to get chai and a slice, but neither of these options seemed appetizing at the time. I went later in the day and the lack of foot traffic didn't indicate that the pizza was very fresh. The staff was helpful, but it wasn't as welcoming of an experience as I get at my main location. My brief transaction got me what I needed with no frills. It's certainly not a place I would lounge and enjoy a quick bite at. However, the product was satisfactory. Hard to beat that Valencia energy!

This is the Arizmendis location that we have visited most frequently and when we visit the other locations, which are all great, we often talk about how this one on San Pablo in Oakland is just extra great. Friendly staff, loaded with toppings, chill atmosphere. Love it here! We are big stans of the vegan focaccia.

Is there a better coffee spot and bakery in Emeryville or North Oakland? I think not.

I've been going to both locations of Arizmendi for years. They make delicious baked goods and pizza.
Come for the cheese roll, stay for the "chocolate thing."

This second location on San Pablo avenue has ample parking in an adjacent parking lot.

Kid-friendliness: They are takeout only now. There's no accommodations for children or seating inside. A few tables in the alley outside.

1. All veg or vegan food, a new for pizza place at least for me. Very tasty and authentic flavor and design. Only three kinds of pizza. Two are fixed and you can get all five days. But 3rd one varies every day of thise five days....you can see the offerings each day in the pic.
2. I tried cheese pizza and flavor of the day pizza and both were really tasty and authentic.
3. This place happens to be by the side of a big parking lot so parking was not an issue.
4. Some cool art in the parking lot as well.

One of my favorite bakeries for breakfast and fresh bread. Egg-in a-hole is one of the best items that sells out really quick.
