I just picked up a Mushroom Shawarma Wrap with Garlic Hummus at the Over 60 Clinic (Lifelong Medical Care's clinic for elders.) I ate half the wrap for dinner today and am looking forward to having the second half for my birthday lunch tomorrow. Wonderful food! I was really impressed by the spicy taste. I've been sadly aware that a lot of vegetarian food is so bland, but this wrap was a real exception. I did add some cashews to the wrap and they seemed to enhance the flavour. Here's hoping that other elders at the clinic also discover your great food. I'll be checking your web site to see if you have a place where I can try more of your dishes in the future.

I don't know where these rave reviews are coming from. Had Just Fare delivered for office lunches two days last week. Sandwiches and salads. I had a chicken curry "salad" of quinoa and a Cobb salad. The curried chicken was good enough, but the salad had crunchy dirt in it and was severely under flavored, with an overall mushy texture. The dirt I crunched on put me off my appetite. The next day was she Cobb salad. The meats and cheeses were fine. Like pre-sliced salami from the fridge at Safeway, chopped up, and a few mozzarella pearls and some canned artichoke hearts. Good. The dressing was good, too, nothing spectacular in either meal but this salad had crunchy dirt in it, too. One bite of dirt per meal, two meals ruined, and the food was nothing special in the first place.

Our brand has been working with JF for almost two years for our office's food and beverage services. Gavin and Kiyomi have been a dream to work with prepandemic and throughout the pandemic. Our team values their responsible sourcing (independent and organic farms and suppliers, prioritizing woman- and BIPOC-owned companies), education and engagement, and environmental health (zero-waste initiatives). Their team has always been friendly and efficient with our staff of 200+. 5 stars well deserved for their yummie food and amazing staff!!

** The following review reflects my recent delivery experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. ** I really didn't know anything about this Emeryville business's altruistic charter in strengthening community, providing transparency and respecting everything. All of that is admirable, but it was the allure of a roast chicken leg that brought me to their delivery menu. I'm shallow that way and obviously hungry. Good thing that it tasted as good as it looked. Oh and I helped the community, too, by ordering dinner for Jamie W. and me. Right? The menu features Mediterranean flavors with a New American flair. We started with the $38 Whole Roasted Tahini Chicken to split, and it was tender and quite succulent, carved in manageable pieces and infused with not only tahini but also garlic confit and dried oregano (photo: Of course we needed a veggie, so we went with the delicious and healthy $8 Grilled Broccolini tossed in lemon tahini dressing and sesame-almond dukkah (photo: The $14 Beet and Farro Salad provided a nice temperate sweetness to the meal with the salty allure of feta in the mix (photo: Just Fare? No, more like pretty darn good. FOOD - 4 stars...mmm, that's good chicken AMBIANCE - n/a...it was a delivery, can't comment SERVICE - 4 stars...very tightly packaged and gratefully on time TOTAL - 4 stars...good eats with good values RELATED - Exploring Emeryville? This was a really delicious and healthy meal -- low carb but weekend worthy. It's not cheap, but everything tasted so good and was so high quality that it felt worth it. Held up well to being delivered and reheated. Things we loved: The chopped salad was totally amazing. So many tastes and textures. Super satisfying. We got two chicken bowls. The rice & lentils and the sweet potato & kale bases were both good, I wished for more kale and less sweet potato. The roasted pepper sauce is spicy but tasty. The pulled chicken was awesome, moist but with occasional little crackly bits. The labneh was really delicious and tastes great scooped up with grilled broccolini. I really enjoyed the side of olives. Things we might not rush to order again: The Adda Veggie Cakes taste pleasant, but the texture was a little soft. Just not that exciting. I disliked what tasted like lemon rind in the yogurt sauce and might just go for more labneh next time. Next time I would see if the dukkah could be left off the side of broccolini because it's tastier without. The flatbread was just fine but not exciting. There was some spice in the pickles that made them occasionally taste unappealing, plus some pickles come in the chopped salad so next time we would stick with that. The Simple Salad was just fine, enjoyable dressing and fresh lettuce, but I asked for no croutons and it had croutons. All in all, only small criticisms, it was a fantastic meal with some really original tastes and we so appreciated that nothing had eggs which my partner is allergic to. And all compostable containers is a nice plus. We'll order again!

Delicious food delivered to us. The bowls were simple and yet high quality ingredients and felt "real". Very much enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies too!

I tried the pork bowl With kale and sweet potatoes and other veggies. It was really really good. I also had the juice, I think it was blood Orange and the pistachio bar dessert which was really yummy. I also got the flatbread which seemed home made. I was a bit disappointed with the cilantro hot sauce that wasn't very hot but quite salty. I'm trying the chicken next.

Really delicious gourmet food at reasonable prices. And knowing that a percentage of the sales are going to support their community kitchen makes it that much better! Our household is vegetarian so we ordered the flatbread and bowl, each with the Adda Veggie cakes and the labneh appetizer. All of the food was delicious and spiced perfectly, and even better it wasn't overly heavy or oily like some takeout food can be. We will definitely be ordering from here regularly!

We ordered some dishes from Fare tonight to go along with some roasted vegetables we were making at home, and tried the half chicken and the labneh. The labneh was INCREDIBLE, and the flatbread that came with it was really soft and tasty (which I was worried about with delivery..). I can't wait to get it again!! The chicken was also very flavorful and was a great addition as the main for our dinner tonight. We also tried the chocolate chip cookies (perfect salty sweet combo), and the pistachio brown butter bars which reminded me of eating Italian cookies around the table with some after-dinner coffee at the holidays! Overall it was fresh and flavorful, and will order again!

I'm so excited to hear about this new delivery spot with actually healthy food! You can taste that they make everything in-house because everything is so fresh & herbaceous! Each dish had a little something extra that just topped it off.. the labneh's fried garlic bits, the tahini dressing for the broccoli, and the ferments with the wings! Agh the chicken was nostalgic & next level, and those pepper sauces that go with it-- I'd like to just buy them by themselves to put on everything at home. Some of the pricing seemed off but the portions & taste made up for it. Don't let the low-key look throw you... this place is legit! Will definitely order again.

Fare is an exciting go-to order despite how many times you've had it before! The flavors in the Kale & Sweet Potato and Grilled Broccolini are such a treat. You can taste the quality of the chicken with each bite - responsibly sourced! I think what really sets Fare apart is their, again, responsible packaging. Sometimes with delivery you can tell the food has been tossed around on the ride -- but not Fare!

My fiance and I have been living in Berkeley for over a year now and have yet to find our go to take out spot, UNTILL we found Fare. The price is right, the food is amazing and you can tell its made by people who care about your experience. Take this for example, we get the chicken and sides and I cannot remember the last time a take out chicken was delivered still hot and perfectly cooked. This place is perfect if you're looking for a light meal (get the flatbread wrap) a quick salad, or a big dinner for you and your family. I will continue to order from here 2x per week, probably even when the pandemic ends!

Fare is like having your close friend, who happens to be a terrific cook, make you dinner. These are dishes you'd like to find in your own kitchen, but elevated to the next level, both in terms of quality of the final dish and the little touches that go into making them special - that extra layer of flavor, fresh herbs sprinkled atop. Standout favorites are the chopped salad, which is beautifully well balanced in every bite and the tahini chicken, both shredded and the half/whole bird. We often prefer our own home cooked chicken over restaurants', since we find it's almost always dried out when we order it, but not Fare's. It's juicy, tender, and flavorful. Another plus is that the menu works for almost every diet/allergy/intolerance out there. Love what you guys are doing and can't wait for our next meal!
