Went here for my Sister’s birthday dinner, sushi and teriyaki chicken was great! Anime around the place gave a comfortable vibe.

The food size is a complete joke.
I got a lot of ginger and Wasabi, but food? I guess I'll have to order from another restaurant, because I'm still hungry.
I will never order from this place again.

The dragon ball appetizer was incredible, and the penthouse roll was good but not amazing. Happy to bump this rating up to a 5/5 if I can find myself a roll I like as much as the dragon ball appetizer. I’ll definitely be back

Came in with my family for the first time. Thankfully only one other table was seated. A party of two. Absolutely no one else came in during our dine in experience. We ordered. After about 10 minutes of waiting. Food came pretty quick and looked pretty nice, but my one appetizer never came. Only until we asked for the check did the lady ask "oh you didn't get your appetizer". At this point we already knew they forgot so whatever. I just said it's okay, at this point we're ready to leave. Everyone's eaten and we don't want to wait 20 more minutes for one appetizer. She looked angry and said "so cancel?" I laughed and said "has it been started yet or did they forget?" her reply was "were super busy".. only 2 orders came out of the kitchen during this time. Small portion, expensive and service is just rude after making mistakes. Never got a sorry either.

Nasty. They don’t devein any of the shrimp they serve. The owner said it’s too much work to do. No other restaurant I’ve been to has found it too taxing to devein a shrimp. What other corners are they cutting that aren’t so visible?

The food was fine, but pretty expensive for what you got. Chirashi/sashimi was the smallest I’ve ever gotten aside from fancy omakase experiences.. thin and small pieces, with overly seasoned, vinegary sushi rice. That was pretty disappointing but what made the experience worse was that there was no AC or air flow in the restaurant. It was probably 80ish degrees in the restaurant. When we left, it was significantly cooler outside. Others may not be bothered this but for me it was really uncomfortable and unpleasant. Overall I think there are many better options for sushi/Japanese in the east bay.

Not the best sushi I've ever had, but pretty solid. Big Studio Ghibli vibes here, so if you like anime and eating sushi while watching anime, then this is your joint.

Rolls are half size compared to normal rolls. Sushi rice on rolls were cold.

The woman who is usually taking orders and serving is sooo sweet. I love the vibe of the place and go there often. And the food is excellent. Also has good vegan options.

The chin of the fish was burnt, which is really unprofessional! Everything tasted terrible.I ordered the most expensive sashimi, but the fish was of poor quality and could not be chewed.Tofu is bland and tastelessFake Japanese food, disappointing! There is free parking, but there is no sign. I have already paid to park on the street and walked back all the way to find out that there is a parking lot. But it’s so unpalatable that I probably won’t go there again. The service is pretty good, thank you.

Good sushi and always fresh. Very good prices if you order takeout in person. I noticed that even if you order takeout though yelp it’s more $$$ than what the actual menu. I call them directly to order or walk in.

Disappointing bento box. Tempura was badly fried with no flake or crunch. The shrimp tempura was very small and skinny. In general, seem to skimp on quality ingredients. The tempura sauce had some strange citrus flavor in it. It’s not complicated folks Chicken teriyaki was thin and dry, overcooked. Maguro sashimi was pretty good. Rice was very low quality with irregular grains of small size. Miso soup had tiny pieces of tofu. If it’s so small, just leave it out altogether.Service was ok, but the waitress would disappear to the front section and abandon the dining room for long periods of time. Charged for each tea. Automatic 20% tip was added to the bill. Ugh.Dining room is quiet and spacious with widely separated tables. Low lighting. Lots of unused space.
