Delicious Indonesian food. Fast friendly service. Clean modern decor. Don't forget to get their desserts.

I paid $23 for the Beef Rendang. The portion size was dissatisfying and quite small for the price. The food tasted amazing.

Please come to Alameda and open a restaurant.

Food was disappointing. The noodle soup lacked flavor and balance. The chicken pieces were dry and bland. We also tried the beef rendang and some chicken rice wrapped in banana leaf - couldn't finish them either. Also, the food was pricy for what they offer. Beef rendang was over $20 with 4 little pieces of beef.
The service was really nice.
The place is in a food court .

WOW!!! First time eating Indonesian food and although I've had Thai, Laos, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Malaysian food numerous times, I was surprised how different & wonderful it was. Nice staff and very generous Big portion, but really it's all about the flavor, which was Awesome.

Authentic taste of the homeland. We are so lucky to have them in the Public Market.
Recommend:
- Desserts are standout, just like Oma used to make. My favorite is the Pandan mochi layer cake. Have also ordered whole pans of the Pandan chiffon and Spekkoek and it was a hit in an elegant tea event.
- Tempeh/Tofu Bacem, the vegan item. Great balance in flavors and spice level.
Thoughts on other dishes: Nasi Goreng (fried rice) is a tad sweet and wet. Soto Ayam (chicken soup) needs less noodle but more of that flavorful broth.

Dietary restrictions: Indonesian food contains peanuts and palm sugar.

Wheelchair accessibility: The Public Market is wheelchair accessible with designated seating

Very flavorful dishes. An amazing vegan selection. They were out of tofu for one of the tempeh & tofu dishes we ordered, they subed their jackfruit for us, it did not disappoint. I will definitely have the basil seed drink next visit. If more desserts were egg & dairy free we'd have tried more than just the pandan mochi. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent dish! I had the chicken noodle soup: very flavorful, fresh but hearty, perfect portion size and value. Also friendly staff. I will come back to try the rest of the menu.
