I love this place SO SO much. We have been doing takeout from Patatas throughout the pandemic. The food is delicious and so satisfying, every time. Patatas chicken and sides are a go to meal whenever we have folks visiting (it always gets rave reviews) or when we want something that feels like comfort food but is actually healthy. The sauces for the chicken are delicious (cannot get enough of the green sauce) and we love the sides - the quinoa salad and slaw are my favorites, and we always get cauliflower and potatoes too. We get the soup too sometimes to have as an extra meal in the fridge.

This is my go to place for weeknight dinner for my family. We get the family dinner-rotisserie chicken, 3 side salads (we love the cauliflower, quinoa salad, and slaw), and 2 sauces (house made ranch and salsa verde for the win!). The food is delicious every time. The owner, Marcos, is a delight to chat with, too! Oh, and don't pass up the quarts of frozen soup! I always pick up at least one quart of chicken soup for a rainy day.

Favorite lunch spot in Emeryville/West Oakland - make sure you order the Spanish Jamón, Manchego + arugula salad sandwitch on an Acme roll. Amazing.

Do you want a really amazing, fresh, delicious, gourmet chicken sandwich? Congrats, you've found your destination. The chef at this restaurant clearly knows what they're doing; the food is absolutely fantastic. All of their sandwiches are off the chain. Can't speak to the soups or anything else but based on the general quality I would assume everything on the menu is at least decent if not excellent.

I had family in town fr Seattle. We decided to have a quick bite. For some reason, the meatball sandwich jump out for all of us. Best meatball sandwich we've ever had. Had enough crunch on the bread, but not overwhelming, well seasoned meatball and the sauce was delightful! Will go back again and I live in Emeryville, will try the whole menu soon.

Cute & clean place, friendly owner. I loved my brisket bowl and the carrot salad. I thought the carrot soup was ok but my friends liked it. Will be back for sandwiches soon.

Y'know how Aunt Bee made big Sunday dinners for Sheriff Andy Taylor and his boy Opie? Still watching reruns on MeTV, I think "The Andy Griffith Show" shaped my expectations of what a home-cooked meal should be like. I've never been to Patatas in Emeryville, but their Whole Roasted Chicken has impressed me enough that during the depths of this pandemic, it's become one of my go-to's for appetizing poultry with picnic-type fixings on the side. Upon delivery, it's never failed Jamie W. and me when it comes to tender meat under a nicely crisped skin. Even the breast meat has been nicely brined to make it moist (photo: The $44.50 Family Meal is the way to go if you're looking for a full-fledged feast with a whole chicken, three pints of sides, and two sauces. We chose the Black Beans mixed with red onion, chilis, and oregano (photo: the Mixed Cabbage Slaw with a kick of jalapeño (photo: and most impressive, the No Mayo Potato Salad. It was mixed with celery, scallions, and lemon dressing (photo: For the sauces, we picked the Salsa Verde (photo: and the Herb Aioli (photo: both quite tasty on their own. If you're not as hungry, you can get the whole chicken a la carte for $19 and add sides at $6.90 each with the black beans a dollar less. They also prepare plates and bowls for more human-size appetites, but we're all about the leftovers since we spread out our food over 2-3 meals. My five-star rating was no accident, and I think Aunt Bee would approve, too. FOOD - 5 stars...if you're looking for first-rate roast chicken and no mayo potato salad AMBIANCE - n/a...don't know but I'll find out soon SERVICE - 5 stars...very nicely packaged, preparation is fast TOTAL - 5 stars...have a surefire picnic at home RELATED - Exploring Emeryville? 1st time ordering from here via DoorDash. Almost everyone's food was correct except they forgot to add the avocado to the chicken salad that we ordered. So, I removed a star for that. However, everyone's food was labeled. I had a side green salad & the meatball sandwich. I wish the bread was just a little softer - but it tasted great! And wishing the bread was a tad softer is just a personal preference- not a knock on the quality or taste. I think we will try them again in the future. Also - quick delivery. Our food was delivered in the estimated timeframe. So thumbs up there.

The food here is fabulous and the owners are kind and accommodating. They make the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever tasted. I can say the same for their chicken plate with the cauliflower side which is also the best I've ever tasted! Do yourself a favor and visit this spot.

Let's go Brandon!! Chicken sandwich is Super good! We need to support local business after the government caused inflation.

Healthy-ish with decent flavors, but execution could be improved. Root veggies: The beets were not slimy, but were a bit too crunchy for being cooked. The sweet potatoes were cooked through without being overly slimy. 3.25/5 Patatas bravas (fried potatoes): I was hoping these would be super crispy, but alas, they were lightly fried. If you're gonna eat fried food, go big or go home-- at least that's my view on unhealthy foods (ask me about my Halo Top ice cream views) 3.25/5 but only because I really like potatoes Lomo saltado chicken / beef: I love sauteed veggies (peppers and purple onions) as much as the next person (well, probably more than the next person since I love veggies and most people...don't), but if the dish is supposed to be lomo saltado and I have to dig for the meat, it's gonna make me wonder a bit. Maybe just a presentation issue? The steak was cut into pieces, but still stuck together in chunks. Texture was really dry. 3/5. On the chicken saltado, the veggie to meat situation was the same, and the chicken was still dry. 3/5. Flavor-wise, both could have used more marination. The veggies were well seasoned. Stuffed peppers: These looked restaurant-ready, but the flavor was lacking. The tofu, garlic, and ginger combo tasted Asian (really reminiscent of the flavor I had with my Hainan chicken the other day, actually), and it could have used more sauce or salt. Was really looking forward to this meal, but it's a 3/5 for now
