Horrible portion size for the amount of money you spend. I only came here because I had an itch for bbq. Never again, I'll rather spend my money with Stay gold Deli on San Pablo brisket way juicier mo tendah and seasoned also the guy who owns it is from west oakland and they have a great beer selection, Everett and Jones or that other place on telegraph.
All of the sides were flavorless as well ??‍♂️

Ordered take out and didnt leave a tip. He left the bag on the counter, didn’t say a word and walked away after the transaction was processed. I was the only customer and no one else was waiting. I reached in to grab the bag and go. Hot link was good, but I would expect a bit more flavor on the brisket.

The ribs were ok. It was missing something. Very dry. The Mac and cheese no flavor. I tried putting pepper but no good. The really disappointing part was the service. The two guys at the counter seem aggressive and agitated. Like they didn’t want to be at work. I don’t think I will be coming back

Excellent food! Even so good that we went back the next night for more!
We ordered brisket, hot links, ribs, and
potato salad the first night. All super good. Great flavor! Mild bbq sauce is really good. The next night we went back for brisket, chicken and Mac-n-cheese. Oh, and the cornbread is yummy!

Do NOT sleep on PiaP. They have exceptional brisket, great sides. Ribs are good. On that rare occasion they have it, the pastrami is shocking. Get that if it’s there.

PiaP is a stall, more or less, in the Emeryville Public Market, so it shares dining space with all the other places there. There’s a bar a stall away. Other restaurants for your peeps who want to eat something else while you down the brisket.

By far the worst BBQ I've ever had, sauce was watery, ranch beans horrible with no flavor, brisket chili also no flavor, they need someone who knows how to season, top it off u get 1 hotlink for $10!

I had the ribs, link, greens and a pickle. Everything was mediocre. Ribs didn't tasted smoke at all. The link didn't tasted smoke either and they didn't even have a sear on them like they should. The greens had no flavor, the pickle was pointless, it tasted like any pickle in a jar. To top it off the customer service was horrible, lack luster and borderline rude. DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARN MONEY!

I come to Emeryville for work regularly and we t to Pig in a pickle for the first time and was not disappointed. The brisket was amazing, the mac and cheese was creamy and delicious and the beans were fire. I was happy that I went here and can't wait to try the other proteins o. the menu!!

I've been here a couple dozen times, and I've never had a disappointing experience. I want to taste the meat and not the sauce, so this place is perfect. The meat is always tasty and tender, and for those who want barbecue sauce they have a couple of choices that you can add on in the quantities that please you. I'm also a big fan of the housemade links. I always request that they do not cut it, so it keeps all the juice in if I decide to save some for later. The collard greens are a bit too vinegary for me and I do wish the macaroni and cheese was a little bit more traditional, but everything else is so good I can overlook that. Pig in a Pickle has spoiled me for any other ribs.

I already loved the ribs, tried the brisket today. ?Taste as good as it looks and their links are on point as well. One of my favorite spots, check them out.

Delightful flavors danced on our taste buds, exceeding our expectations with every bite. The hot links proved to be a symphony of tastiness, and thanks to the insightful recommendations from the cheerful staff, the mustard sauce added the perfect zing to the experience. The beef brisket, a true star on the menu, was a mouthwatering delight. Tender, succulent meat paired seamlessly with the mild sauce, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. The cornbread, subtly sweet, provided the ideal accompaniment, enhancing the overall culinary journey. The potato salad, a flavorful addition, was undeniably a big plus, leaving us savoring every moment. Not only did the food shine, but the gentlemen taking orders and crafting our culinary masterpiece were beacons of niceness and helpfulness. Their stellar customer service elevated the entire dining experience, making it one of the best I've had in a while. A heartfelt thank you for a meal that not only filled our stomachs but also warmed our hearts. Cheers to exceptional flavors and top-notch service!
