Shake Shack Bay Street

We ordered on a tablet and received a text message when the food was ready. We sat outside to eat and the food was great. I ordered the black truffle fries, chicken burger and a peach strawberry tea.

This is the second time in 3 weeks that this happens. I came back willing to give it another chance but will not anymore. I placed my order via the tablets in store, a simple burger and simple fries, no modifications. I get the text that my order is in and that I will receive another text when ready then… nothing. It was pretty busy today so I knew I would probably have to wait a little. I go to the shop next door and after 40mn of not receiving another text to tell me my order is ready I go back. And when I ask for it, it’s there on the shelf in the back. Team member gives it to me. STONE COLD. When I share that I never received the text, the guy talks to who I suppose is the manager, she instructs him to remake the order. Once ready they hand it to me like it’s normal that I waited 45mn. Not a look, not an apology, not a try to understand what happened not even a smile.
I work in hospitality too mind you, literally across the street, 75 employees, 75 potential clients, a bunch actual regular clients including me since a couple of years until today… this is really bad advertising Shake Shack as I will make sure to share this with all of them.

I love the food here , especially the veggie burgers! Wish there was a drive thru tho! Lol.

Was unacknowledged when me and my friend entered. The zombie like workers ignored us except for the friendly black employee. Veggie burger needed more seasoning and was not hot. Cheese was not melted. First time at a Shake Shake and will not return for the burger. Fries were better!

You can only order through the electronic kiosks, mostly everything has mayo and you can’t make modifications through the kiosk. I dislike mayo. Tried talking to an employee and it felt like they were terrified of even making eye contact, no one could help me. Ended up walking out.

I’ve been to a lot of shake shacks, and this one rivals them all. Even the New York locations circa late 2000s. These guys really know how to smash a burger

No problems with the food — except that I live 10 minutes away and it took almost 45 minutes for it to arrive. That’s not timing I expect from a nearby fast food joint. By the time it got here, my burger needed heating up and the milkshake was watery. I’ll stick to the downtown Shake Shack when it comes to delivery.

Shake shack is a good burger spot, and the milkshakes are good too. It’s not a fancy restaurant. I have yet to be disappointed by a burger there.

I love riding my bike to this area, even during the construction. The burgers are incredibly juicy, and the cheese fries are good; as long as you eat them while they're still warm.

Their hot dogs though... Not sure. I found a small bone fragment in mine and decided to toss it, as it wasn't worth the risk of chipping a tooth.

I went to this location several times, and last week I went with my friend. We ordered Strawberry Lemonade, but I wasn’t sure if refills were allowed for this drink. After finishing the meal, I went back and asked for a refill. A staff member, a Spanish guy with white skin, about 5 feet tall (I don’t remember his name), told me that I couldn’t get refills on tea or lemonade, which I understood. However, when I checked the website again, it said that tea and lemonade are refillable.

I went back today and asked the cashier if I could get refills, and she was very nice and said yes. When I went to get the refill, I encountered the same guy again. He told me I couldn’t refill tea or lemonade. I told him I had already asked the cashier, and she told me I could. He then said she was wrong and told me he would call the manager for me. After turning away, he said a bad word to another staff member and just went inside a small corner, walked around, and then came back to me. It was ridiculous because he didn’t even speak to the manager. His attitude was very bad and unprofessional. I contacted the corporate office, and they confirmed that I am allowed to get refills.

Wanted a quick bite before a movie. We each had a single Shackburger - both hot & delicious. But our fries could not have been colder. They were sprinkled with a tasty spice mix and would probably have been good if they were hot or at least warm. Considered taking them back but didn’t want our burgers to get cold while we dealt with it. Staff behind the counter seemed hapless / unconcerned with their jobs. Nice outdoor seating, live music playing on a summer evening.

It was my first time eating at a Shake Shack. I got the bacon cheese burger, fries and the seasonal peaches and cream shake, well 2 of them. I ate my burger after it had gotten cold and it was still so good. Next time I am in the Bay area I'll definitely be back.
