Shake Shack is quite disappointing due to the overpricing of their burgers. Their burgers are priced at more than $5, even for a normal cheeseburger, and it's definitely not worth it considering their very small size. I can say that their burgers were juicy and tasty, but I can definitely get a better deal at a different burger shop. Their cheese fries are also not worth it as there's nothing too special about them. This particular location in Emeryville has no indoor seating. If you want to dine-in, there is outdoor seating shared by other nearby restaurants. This outdoor seating arrangement would be perfect for spring or summer weather; however, the winter weather can be quite punishing. There were not enough heated lamps to satisfy the number of seats available.

I tried shake shack for the first time with the Oakland location and I wasn't the biggest fan. I thought I'd try again at this location and I'm still not the biggest fan. It was my birthday weekend and I was doing some shopping at Bay Street and decided to go to shake shack for lunch since chick fil a is closed on Sundays. My brother and I ordered the chicken bites, chicken sandwich, two order of fries, a strawberry and a Oreo milkshake, our total came out to be $38.72, which I think is pretty expensive. This had to be the saddest chicken sandwich I had in my life and it's probably my fault for getting one at a burger place but in my defensive I didn't like the burger the first time I had it and I was craving chick fil a . The chicken bites were crispy on the outside but super soft on the inside which I didn't like. My Oreo shake didn't taste like an Oreo shake, I couldn't even tell you what it was supposed to taste like. I think the best thing that came out of this meal were the $4 fries. I did an online order and selected for condiments and napkins to be included, chicken bites were suppose to include our sauce of choice (which was the shake sauce), and I also asked for sauce on the side for my sandwich but none of these were included in the bag.

Service was quick-they have kiosk available for quick ordering. The location is amazing and there is lots of outdoor seating! The portion sizes are way too small for the price but otherwise it was a good experience. The food was hot, fresh and made just as ordered.

The burger was good enough but not happy with the pricing and service experience. No human contact yet prompted for a big tip electronically. The system is to provide your phone number then get a text verifying its right then they send you a text when the food is ready. Got the first text then after waiting 20 minutes without a text saying food was ready went in to find my food sitting there, cold. Wanted to talk w someone about this maybe get a fresh hot burger but no one to talk to without waiting around for who knows how long. Not a good experience.

they have the most horrible service they are very rude even after they got my order wrong I tried explaining I have an allergy and I needed my order changed and they didn't read my order correctly they changed it after and I had to wait for my drinks because they didn't want to give them to me and still got mad at me stay away from this woman

This new spot in Emeryville is great. I've been a few times so far. It's a great place to come and get a burger and hang out. There are heat lamps and plenty of crowd watching. You can order your food at the kiosk or online and they call u when it's ready. I took my son and friends before the movie but it's a great place to hang out with co-workers or a non-fussy date night.

I got a shack stack burger and a non-dairy chocolate shake for 21$21.50. Yikes. The shake was worth it, and I'll definitely be back for another since I'm lactose intolerant. The burger wasn't so great. I got the meat and mushroom patty combo. I kept getting weird bites of mushrooms, i guess, as you can see a large one in the picture. I would skip the mushroom patty altogether as it has way too much processed cheese in it. The meat patty was very thin. I'm glad they're employing lots of people, but there were at least 13 employees standing there when i came in to order, and they all just looked at me. No, I'm not using your machine when you're all just standing there.
This is a new hamburger chain that is expanding, offering higher quality sandwiches and burgers.This one, specifically on Bay Street in Emeryville, opened recently and they are quite pleasant and helpful, despite being fast food.It has outdoor tables that are facing the sun and it is very good to eat.

So the food isn't too bad but it's not good. Me and my son's buns were soggy! And my husband ordered the golden gate or something (2 burger patties) and they gave it to him with one... so he went to complain and they said they'd make him a new one. He ate the burger and went back in and they handed him a burger Pattie in a paper lol! So he had an extra Pattie... I guess they expected him to let his burger get cold and add the new patty.

I really hate reviewing fast food joints since a review never really matters. But if you had any other choice I'd advise against going to this shake shack in particular. I saw my order put on the stand so I went up to the counter to let them know, but as I got up the worker glanced over me and looked away. I raised my arm up and started yelling "excuse me" to know avail. This went on for a good 5 minutes and I was only helped because I went to the order line instead.

Ok, ok, shake shack is shake shack and I've been to many before. So this review is not really about the food. The food is always pretty solid and I don't have any complaints about the food that I got here - it's pretty standard shake shack food. However, the rest of the experience was pretty lackluster. I stopped by on a late Thursday evening to pick up a quick dinner on the go. The takeout-only restaurant was empty so I almost thought it was closed, but I was able to open the door so I went in. Immediately upon entering, it smelled like wet mop - just... musty and not great. I ordered from the kiosk without a problem and was going to wait in there to get but that smell was kinda gross so I just waited outside. Now, I don't believe that customer service professionals need to be super chipper or happy when I go to an establishment. I get it - customer service jobs are hard and at the very end of the day, it's not really the vibe to be super perky. But the service overall here, was just dry. No one greets you or asks if you need assistance and when my food was ready, they said my name and kinda just left the order at the counter. So strange to have that minimal of customer service. Anyways, might've been an off night, but that experience could've been better.

Went around 5:30 PM (crew sucks) no pleasantries no type of acknowledgement whatsoever. Ordered on the kiosk, tried to find a coke but I couldn't. I try to order one from the register an employee directs me to the kiosk I let her know it's not showing on the kiosk. She tries to look herself then says quote "oh uh i don't think it's available right now because they aren't carbonated" I say okay thank you. I would think that would be something customers should know before hand. I get my food and suprise suprise my orders wrong. I go back to the register and let them know what I ordered & every employee in the store is asking me for my receipt (they emailed it to me) everyone's trying to prove me wrong it seems. Finally they retrieve my receipt come to find out one of the employees gave my order to someone else. I literally watch this girl open my burger slide everything off with her finger and throw everything that was missing on my burger on it & she brings me back my burger without saying sorry for my inconvenience or anything. I don't know who the manager is here but this crew is unacceptable. Bunch of bad mannered non customer service having people. Get it together. No remorse for their mistakes but look at you like you're crazy for wanting what you paid for. Nice !!!!
