Good just the noise of the employees

So I was very happy to come for Turkish cuisine breakfast
I ordered shakshuka and meneman both were very off and I could still taste tomatoes being undercooked
Also not to forget it is very very expensive the lahmajun tasted good
The simit was nowhere close to what it should taste like
Overall the place is just a one go stop and the price and the food is not worth going a second time

I went to Istanbul last summer and was on the hunt for a Turkish restaurant before my trip. Guess what? I stumbled upon this amazing place! I’ve been here at least six times, and it’s seriously the best brunch spot in Emeryville. I’ve had their shakshuka a few times, and you can’t go wrong with eggs and tomatoes! I’ve also tried their cevapi sandwich, which is super savory and pairs perfectly with their pide bread. My usual meal here is the Istanbul plate, which has a bunch of kofte kebabs served with pide bread, potatoes, slices of pide bread, and grilled shishito peppers (usually at least one of them is pretty spicy, but overall pretty mild). This is definitely one of my go-to brunch spots which I always sneak in a baklava in every order, and I’m there at least once a quarter now.

Ordered delivery - food quality and taste were phenomenal! Halloumi sandwich was delicious, and the khachapuri bread… heaven. We look forward to visiting directly in the future.

If you are craving Turkish food head here. We ordered the Mezze Platter, Simurgh Kebab and Lahmajun. Everything was delicious and reminded us of our travels through the Balkans and Turkey. Though we thought their Ajvar had a little too much tomato in it. We also tried their Honey Cake which was great, and bought some Simit to take home.
They close at 6pm, so plan for an early dinner our lunch here. The owner and staff were very nice. We enjoyed eating there and will definitely return.

Tried the plate, simurgh kebab, and it didn’t taste good. The person who took the order didn’t have a good vibe, sounded a bit rude to me. The decorations were nice. If the food was good the rest wouldn’t have mattered that much to me. But it wasn’t!

I tried the beef brisket sandwich followed by a Turkish coffee and loved both! The place would be even better if they took care of the fly issue —lots of flies :)
A bit more cleanliness would go a long way.

Good local bakery, they have all fresh and tasty , it might be my favorite to go

We got the Simit Sandwich a Mediterranean-style bagel and a few day old rolls. The simit was a breakfast sandwich with a bed of greens on what is basically an everything bagel. It was good but when it was finished I felt like I had eaten nothing. The bagel we got with egg, which was a hard boiled egg which was sliced, not what I can recommend. But it's was the same bagel as the simit

I really didn't want to leave this complaint because the food is truly delicious. Everything is of great quality, from their bread to their desserts. However, the cashier who served me was just getting by and was the only one there at the time. I think the service has to be on par with their excellent food. For everything else, it was a great experience.
