I visited Tacos Chavez weekly for the entire time I worked in Emeryville from 2001 to 2016. I still stop by every chance I get. The Al Pastor is my favorite, flavorful and well prepared.
I have been here twice in the past month. Prices have gone up since I was here. Today's experience was incredibly disappointing. $12 for a super burrito with pastor. There is almost no meat or filling at all. Tortilla and beans all the way through. Every bite requires chewing through the nub of tortilla caused by rolling an underfilled burrito.$24 for two "super burritos" with no discernible extras and maybe two tablespoons of meat total is incredibly bad value, akin to a taco bell. I don't know if this was a bad day, but I drove by 4 other trucks to get to this one, I don't think I'll be coming back.

They take card AND cash, which is rare with taco trucks. Really friendly staff and bomb a** food ????????????
