Best birria in north county San Diego with the best customer service. Honestly this is my favorite birria I've had in SoCal (I have not ventured out to many place for birria though) and they are always so nice every time I go in!

My top 5 best taco shop. My go to is the Birria mini tacos with a side of consome soup for dipping. They use fresh authentic ingredients. Located in a Chevron gas station. Carry out only. Suggested ordering online can get busy.

I had their breaded fish burrito and horchata. Both were excellent! The burrito was large and stuffed with fish. The other ingredients added to the flavor, rather than overpowering the fish. The horchata was fresh and cold and also full of flavor. Will definitely be back when I'm in town again.

Amazing. Delicious. Reasonably priced. This is my go-to place. The service is excellent. Very close to the freeway.

Really good birria and the salsa is soooo good just don't eat in your car. I couldn't resist a bite on my way home and that was a big mistake, but worth it

Just stopped by on the way to SD, I got the birria burrito with passion fruit agua Fresca and my husband got their chorizo breakfast burrito with a horchata. They serve their breakfast burritos all day and their agua frescas are homemade! They were all delish, I was able to sample them. Service took about 10 minutes in all, and the two ladies up front were great at customer service and patient with me since I was soo indecisive at first. Overall, the food was excellent and huge! This might be my new favorite Birria and we're from LA. The meat is tender and juicy along with the consome, the seasonings and spices balance eachother very well! Overall the place, service and food was excellent. I never write reviews but this was great for the location and time!

Great tacos!!! I had the carnitas, pastor and birria mini tacos, my wife had the birria y queso tacos and my daughter a plain pollo. We all loved them. I should have snapped a pic. We drove down the street to Beacon's parking overlook, ate and watched the ocean. The churro was delicious too

Do not let this small takeout operation fool you- this is fantastic Mexican food! Every time I go the line gets a bit longer. I highly recommend calling and ordering ahead. The Birria tacos are amazing! Their hot sauce packets are a must, I like the medium and hot. And, definitely save room for the homemade coconut flan. I assure you- this maybe your first time trying Agave but it won't be your last. The sign on the door should read, "CAUTION! May be habit forming!" Just thinking about makes me hungry.

This place is attached to a gas station. There are no tables, so it's take out only. The interior is clean and bright with some cute merch available. I asked to try the Caldo de Birria (soup) and they obliged with a small cup. The meat in it was tender and the broth flavorful, so I got a #4 - Two Quesabirria Tacos with rice and beans. ($14..99). Comes with a side of that delicious consommé. The tacos were generously sized and absolutely delicious. 5/5. The beans were good. 4/5. The rice was pretty bad - flavorless and salty. 2/5. The consommé - 5/5. I'd order the tacos again but probably skip the combo. My husband had the carne asada torta ($11.75). He was super excited as he's a torta freak, but his exact words were "worst torta I've ever had". Contrary to the generous portion of birria, the sandwich was large but mostly bread, beans and lettuce. Hardly any meat in it and he wasn't a fan of the guacamole. (1/5) The service was excellent and there was a steady stream of customers, most of who seemed to be regulars. Overall, I'd definitely go back for that birria, which should be no surprise since it's their signature dish. One thing that was shocking to me - being a takeout only place - it was the first time I've seen a 30% tip option on a fast food screen! For take out. Ok.... The prices were average for the area. Worth a visit.

Cashier was really nice and place was clean but my breakfast burrito's potato's were not cooked right and the bacon in it was big raw chunks

Best Birriea tacos in the Encinitas area! This is a carry out only place so would be easier to place your order ahead of time. We tired queso birria, potato tacos and el pastor. Everything tasted fresh and so yummy!

-Worst carnitas, just tasted “off”Tasted like weird sweet and old freezer taste, hope I don’t get sick.-Birria was flavorful but very fatty pieces of meat.-Carne asada was good.I’ve had much better here in SD. Fridas, La Puesta, or Taco shop are MUCH better.Pros: no line and quick serviceCons: just not tasty enough compared to other places and questionable quality

I got the nachos supreme they were really tasty, my husband got quesabirrias they were delicious and crunchy my daughter got a birria burrito, that was my favorite!! The meat was so tender and juicy everything else on it very flavorful, the consomé was really good BUT you can taste a strong clove flavor, would be nice if it had less cloves and more bayleaves other than that everything we tried was delicious!
