Tried this place for the first time via online order for pickup a couple weeks ago. Ordered the breadsticks. When my husband got there to pick up the order, he was told they were out of breadsticks and we'd be refunded the difference. No problem. Well, that never happened. I reached out to them & sent them a message about this, including my order #, last week, and never heard back. Just double checked my bank statement and there is no refund, nor was the cost subtracted from the total amount of the payment that processed.

New owners don't have a clue about running an Italian restaurant.

Great Italian food in encinitas, live the tiramisu here.

Chicken Parm tasted like rubber chicken. Pasta and sauce was mediocre. Garlic bread was good. For a Monday and seemingly not super busy, it seemed like they had orders confused, names of people who ordered take-out mixed up, and just not on top of things in general. I feel bad for them because it’s a small, family business but I basically threw out the entree I paid almost $40 for and I feel bad about that too.

This is the second time I have gotten sick from this place. projectile vomiting and going the other way within 30 minutes of me eating I started getting very sick. I rushed to the bathroom, thank God and got what I needed out. I would not recommend this place or something going on. It’s either that the cooks are not washing their hands properly or the meats bad. We had a sausage, green pepper and onion pizza and I was the only one that ate the sausage on the pizza and I was the one that got sick. My other family did not because they were not eating the sausage so I’m assuming it’s the sausage I would think that the owner would be contacting me immediately about this since I spent over $100 at this place I’m just really disappointed. I’ve been eating here for so long my whole life. I’ve lived here my whole life and the last two times I’ve eaten here I gotten super sick.

Did never disappoints. Fav white cheese pizza with anchovies. Best antipasto salad, but... for this dining visit service was slooow and there was no A/C.

Generous portions of spaghetti, garlic bread, meat sauce, and meatballs are large. Green salad is very basic.

We were fans of Borrelli's for over 40 years but unfortunately no longer patronize what was one of our favorites. The quality of food is inconsistent now since the new ownership took over in early 2024. Our pizza lacked the essential ingredient of cheese, egg plant and lasagna were both underdone and my complaint fell on deaf ears...so sorry Ralph Borrelli's family sold the place.

I've been eating here for many years and the food is great! Home style family Italian food. Very casual and delicious. Spaghetti with meat sauce, the pizza, the garlic bread & baked ziti are my favorite dishes. Highly recommend! Great for take out.

Ordered to go pizza. It was ready on time but when I got home with it there were no anchovies as ordered and paid for, but the big problem was the cheese seems to be some kind of liquid variety. It was actively oozing over the cut edge an hour out of the oven. The flavor was off and the liquid cheese changed the entire texture of the pizza. Not a good change. Soggy and mushy is not a good texture for pizza.

The next day I attempted to reheat the pizza on a cast iron skillet on low just to warm it up. It turned into a puddle of muck and was not edible. There may be some good items at Borealis but the Vegetarian pizza sucks. It is very sad because under the old owners, the Borealis family, the vegetarian pizza was the best in the county.

Great food at great price. Such a lucky find, the food here gives off such a rustic feel, the portion sizes are huge and the pricing is very reasonable. 10/10 recommend.

Pizza is pretty good. Problem is they’re all uppity up on the tips. The owners charge a dollar if you order online and or a dollar if you order over the phone. When you pick up the pizza to go, they always leave a spot for you to leave a tip. If I’m not sitting down, I’m not leaving a tip.
