So sad to see this charm go. I always loved the bar and funky decor. Not a fan of new places. Miss the old funky styles.

Best drinks in town! Good food and friendly staff too. Slated to close soon so stop on by soon. My Dad used to take us their when we were kids. His favorite hangout.

Got the chance to do some stand up at a place my mom always used to tell me some of her best friends blacked out there ❤️ I hold this place near and dear even though I've only been one time, but my mother would visit this place with close friends for libations and general bad decisions. To my pleasant surprise it was nothing like envisioned, in fact, it was really nice and welcoming. Id visit again next time I'm up that way, I've heard nothing but good things about their Ribs. Sad they're supposed to be closing I heard.

Came by while visiting family. I live in nyc, and sadly have seen many establishments by me like this get paved over for condos, or other corporate black holes. It can be easy to forget how perfect some of those local mom and pop places actually are until they are gone. Walking into this bar you not only begin to understand how atmospheric, soulful, iconic and excellent of a business it is - but realize how culturally important this place has been, and hopefully will be for future generations. Places like this give me hope, and proud to be an American. The crowd, the beer, the food - was perfect. I wish this place 500 more years of success, and beg any owner that reads this to not give in to the greedy mittens of corporate real estate, or for the tycoon who does to consider keeping this gem alive - the town’s spirit may depend on it!
