I'm rating this a 5 for so many reasons. It was a dive bar and I absolutely loved it. Dirty. Loud. Dark. Retro. The cheapest food I've seen since Vegas in the 90s. Iconic place. $1.99 shrimp cocktail. 11.99 ribs. Say what? Decent too. Nice bartender. Cashier was nice....and very very busy.Really saddened to hear it's closing. I'm sure a drive through Starbucks will go in it's place 0r more.condos ?. Either way I'm just glad I got to ✅ this off my bucket list. Almost wish I hadn't since I'll now know what I'm missing when it's gone. ?PS kids did complain about the smell of smoke so if you're sensitive to that... beware.PSS CASH ONLY. But they do offer ATM.

I HAVE EATEN KENO FOOD FOR ABOUT 25+ YEARS AND ALL THEIR MEALS TASTE AS GOOD AS THE FIRST TIME U TRIED THIS RESTAURANT FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH (MY FAVORITE TIME) AND DINNER AND IM SHOCKED HOW CHEAP THIS PLACE IS COMPARE TO OTHER DINNERS IN ENCINITAS CA, YET LAST TIME I WAS THERE,JORGE(ASSISTAN MGR) SAID THIS PLACE WILL CLOSED FOR GOOD IN ABOUT 2 TO 3 MONTHS AND I WAS HEART BROKEN?? , WELL GOOD LUCK AND THE **FAMOUS CAPTAIN KENO'S WILL GO INTO HISTORY OF ONE OF THE UNIQUE PLACETO WE WILL MISSED 100%?? got some of the worst food poisoning of my life at this place. still feeling out of it 3 days later.i wanted to like this place, thought it could be a dive that had good food. but unfortunately, their food made me suffer.got a salad, BLT, two eggs sunny side, hash browns, orange juice (didn't eat all in one sitting lol)instant bad vibe upon walking in, but i ignored that feeling, convincing myself that it was just a hokey restaurant. now i know if you get a bad vibe, then just don't go to the place. walk out, it's not worth it!sorry guys. but i've been really sick! gotta tell people about it.

This place is in a 70's time warp as far as prices and value. A true dive bar with a cast of characters from 20 y/o's to 80y/o's. Check it out soon because it will disappear this coming June.
