Chin's Szechwan - Encinitas

We ordered a large company lunch takeout from Chin's Szechwan for over 50 employees, and they absolutely nailed it! Everything was neatly packed, well-organized, and arrived fresh, hot, and right on time. Coordinating an order of that size isn't easy, but they handled it flawlessly.
The standout dishes were the broccoli beef lunch and the Szechwan garlic chicken lunch -- both were incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The broccoli beef had that perfect balance of tender meat and crisp broccoli in a rich, savory sauce. The Szechwan garlic chicken was bold, garlicky, and had just the right amount of kick without overwhelming the dish.
We also appreciated the variety included in the lunch boxes -- rice, sides (cucumber salad, egg roll, and a cream cheese wonton), and generous portions that left everyone satisfied. Several employees commented that it was the best takeout we've had for a team lunch, and I completely agree.
Highly recommend for both small and large group catering. Will definitely be coming back to for our next team event!

I got the Honey Walnut Shrimp from Chin’s Szechwan in Encinitas, and it was amazing! I ordered it to-go, and even after bringing it home, the shrimp was still crispy and perfectly coated in that delicious honey glaze. The walnuts were fresh and caramelized just right — sweet, crunchy, and so good with the shrimp. You can really tell they care about quality and texture here. Definitely one of the best versions of this dish I’ve had anywhere. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

This place is beautiful! Never been to such an upscale Asian restaurant like this before!the food was amazing, my particular favorites were the,

Black Pepper Beef. The presentation made our table stop and stare as it came to the table -- the platter arrives still sizzling and steaming, filling the air with garlic and freshly cracked black pepper. The beef is savory, tender, and peppery making it both comforting and exciting in every bite.

The Cream Cheese Wontons with Crab are al ligh, golden, perfectly crisp shells that give way to a warm, creamy filling. They hit that indulgent sweet-savory spot, with just enough crab flavor to elevate them beyond the standard version you'll find elsewhere. They're addictive little bites and a great way to start the meal.

The last 3 times we had beef or pork entrees delivered we were very disappointed in the small amount of protein. Beef and bean order last night was so sad. It was about 3/4 green beans and very little beef. I think this 30 year customer will look elsewhere.

Amazing good! I wish I could fit more in my stomach! Potstickers great! Mongolian Beef great! Honey Walnut amazing! We will be back soon.

Ordered delivery and was not happy with the quality of the food. Mongolian beef was hard to chew . The wonton in the soup did not have feeling, only dough.

Great spot. Their Kung Pao Chicken is the best in the city.

We've been visiting this area for the last 5 years and just today found this gem. If you like Chinese food, you'll love Chin's Szechwan in Encinitas. We were so excited to find Chin's and hungry, we didn't take pics of our dishes, so I apologize. That said, we haven't eaten Chinese food this great in years.

The atmosphere is great. We kind of felt a little underdressed for the ambiance. The interior was recently remodeled and they did a great job!

The service and specifically our server was excellent and anticipated our needs. He was very nice, cordial, and attentive.

The food was fantastic! We ordered the chicken with szechwan braised green beans, the pork fried rice, and the egg rolls. Again, I apologize and regret not having photos for you. The pork fried rice had real pork strips, not the little chopped bits you see at other places. The green bean chicken had large slices of all white meat chicken and the green beans were cooked perfectly with a crisp to them. The sauce flavor perfected the dish. The egg rolls were vegetable and really good. They have the original hot mustard too! My receipt is pictured. I highly recommend Chin's. We will be back to try other dishes!
