We have been here since it first opened with the heavy Neapolitan oven. Menu is regularly updated as well as decor and quality control. From Neapolitan to new york style, now back to authentic Sicilian home taste. The mulberry pizza has been upgraded/renamed to italia, more chewy flavorful thinner dough and ripe cherry tomatoes fresh basil with great cheese. The garlic sticks are chewy pizza dough, not typical italian bread. The ceasar salad dressing is top notch. The expresso coffee machine is back, to complement the light and creamy spongy ricotta pistachio cake! Service is very attentive and now reservations are accepted. PS Feel free to speak Italian 🤣

The owners are an awesome young couple, they make you feel like family. The food is excellent, all the fresh parmasean you can handle. It's our new favorite spot in town, give them a shot!

The owner (whose name I already forgot) was so kind when I brought the shelter dog I was taking care of, Canelo, to sit on the patio. She was so friendly (Canelo, who can be adopted from SD Humane Society, wouldn’t stop cuddling with her!); she helped me choose a vegan pasta option which she ended up not charging me for. Truly a great spot with authentic Italian food & vibes. Please support this business! 🍝

We were looking for a new place to enjoy an Italian dinner and we saw Forchettina ......the food was incredibly flavorful, their selection of pastas and their willingness to accommodate our food allergy requests were so breath-takingly refreshing. We recommend this place without any reservation.....it was a delightful surprise......and we will be back!

It is rare you find a restaurant where the quality of the underlying ingredients and home made bread/dough/pasta is so superior you must leave a review...such is the case here. The restaurant is owned and managed by a young Italian couple bringing their grandmother's Sicilian recipes to Encinitas...absolutely exquisite! This is a hole in the wall casual and stellar eating experience...only opened since June 2025...do not miss this culinary experience...seriously...the espresso is to die for as well:)

What a wonderful discovery! Met friends for a birthday lunch and came back later to get take out for dinner. The pasta specials were amazing and they surprised our friend with a birthday cannoli with a sparkler candle. The Greek salad I picked up for dinner was also super fresh and delicious. Very special experience all around!
