it was really hot outside and they wouldn’t let me in because i was wearing shorts…like what…? and it’s not a fancy place by any means.. and we’re literally two blocks from the beach, i’d say learn the clientele a little bit 😂
Hands down the best meal I’ve had in San Diego County. The halibut was absolutely delicious—whether you’re a seafood fan or not, it’s worth ordering. I added a side of caviar which elevated the dish even more. The noodles were also incredible, rich in flavor and perfectly prepared. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The ambience is on the louder side and the space was bustling, but the energy added to the overall experience. Highly recommend for a memorable night out.
Atmosphere is so fun - loved the DJ, plants and moody lighting. Food & drinks are steep $$ for portions and service quality, but the items we ordered WERE tasty and fun. A good place for a night out for a date or with a group of friends. Excited to see how they continue to dial it in!
Great staff! Felt like a king on my birthday. Thank you so much for making my evening one to remember forever
It's a bit bougie but the food is really good and they have a great cocktail menu.
Came for club lounge, one of the best DJs I’ve ever heard. Beautiful crowd with positive energy. Would love to try the food next time.
I dined at Sago over the weekend to celebrate a friend’s birthday and truly felt I stepped into Tulum. The atmosphere is really fun with tropical vibes and fun beats. We shared plates (tapas style is my favorite way to dine). Everything was good but my faves were the wagyu skewers and the fried chicken & caviar. I’m a tequila girl and the N9 on the cocktail list hit the spot. I got it extra spicy the second time around ;)
Love SAGO! Amazing food, top notch cocktails and great service. The interior decoration is amazing - feels like you’ve transported to Tulum! One of my favorite spots to go out in north county!!
Sago is an absolute gem! The food is out-of-this-world delicious—creative, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. Every bite felt like a celebration. The cocktails are just as impressive—thoughtfully crafted, perfectly balanced, and so fun to sip. Add in the music and the overall vibe, and you’ve got a place that just gets it. The atmosphere is lively but still elevated, with a warm, stylish energy that makes you want to stay all night. Highly recommend for a night out that hits all the right notes—food, drinks, music, and mood!
We had dinner before, so I don’t have an opinion. But we went for drinks and the Margaritas were pretty good. They took a bit of time but understandable since the place was packed. The DJ was nice. A good place for tourists.

Amazing restaurant with delicious food and great service!
10/10 on all fronts. It’s beautiful, the service was amazing, the staff was sweet and attentive.. and the food was beyond. Australian tomahawk was cooked to perfection. The lobster bao buns so yummy, tuna tartare was excellent & the fried chicken caviar is a must try. The combo we didn’t know we needed.
Vibes were high and lights were low. We’ll be back for another date night
Amazing place with delicious shareable plates.
I haven’t been here since it was D Street, but let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed!
The entire restaurant is covered in real plants and greenery, giving it an upscale look I was so pleasantly surprised with. The service was phenomenal and the food/drinks were even better! Our favorite were the bao buns, definitely recommend if you wanna have a girls night or a date night with your significant other. It was SO beautiful!!
Came here on a Friday night with a girlfriend for tapas and drinks!! Absolutely LOVED it. It was totally my type of vibe I loved the jungle plant theme, and Asian foods. Mt favorite dishes were their farmer green salad (don’t skip this), fried chicken and caviar, chicken satay and lobster bao buns. For my drink I loved the No. 4 which was similar to a pisco sour to me. Oh and they have peanut butter ice cream for dessert and it is the creamiest yummiest ice cream! My waitress was so friendly and helpful, we pretty much ordered everything she recommended and we were not disappointed. Love love love and you should definitely check it out! They had a live dj and it seems to get crowded at night by the bar!
