My sister and I just had lunch there. The food was terrible. The quiche was awful, the sandwiches were unacceptable. So sorry to write this.

I was gifted a box of three croissants - one almond and two butter. The almond was almost begging to be eaten immediately. The smell was wafting from the box before I could open it. When I did open it, the sweet delicious smell was overwhelming. It was absolutely sinful how delicious, light and sweet the almond crossing was. I haven’t tried the other two yet but I’m already dreaming of taking my bf there for an almond- he’s going to love it. Because I did. 10/10 recommend! (Amy Adams - Amy Adams Aesthetics) I’ll update with a picture soon.
Visited this little shop after having ramen a few doors down. Only got to try the brownie and ordered my son the chocolate croissant because it was 30 min til closing. The brownie was so soft, moist, and so delicious. Hope to come back when I can and try more things!

Beautiful little cafe and bakery. They offer indoor and outdoor patio seating. You order at the counter and then find your own seat. I tried their American ☕️. It was enjoyable, they come with a little bit of foam. I would go with the 16oz cup, they offer a 10oz as well. I had half of their Monaco crossiant sandwich with cheese and ham. The crossiants are deliciously flakey and have a brilliant butter taste while devouring. Great big portion sandwich. I also ordered the Biarritz Omelette. It was also a large portion that came with fresh fruit and a slice of bread. Loaded with lots of crispy bacon?!
Great first time experience.

Had a really mixed experience, the crème brûlée was decent and so was the eclair but the cheese danish was horrible. When brought to the attention of one of the staff her response was it was late, and obviously wasn’t fresh. Had high expectations and looked really nice unfortunately that wasn’t the case.

We had catering with Isabelle Briens, they arrived on time, set up was quick and even with some power issues on our end they worked so fast to feed our team of 23. Their efficiency and upbeat manner was great! Crepes were fresh and delicious. And the gluten free option was appreciated. Definitely recommend!

Isabelle's is an Encinitas institution. Very good food, always friendly service, a good meeting place. It's a great part of the rotation for outings.

This is the third time i have visited. I was disappointed that each time the pastry was overcooked and had a burned taste.
I recently visited Isabelle Briens French Pastry Cafe in Encinitas and was impressed by the quality of the pastries, which definitely reminded me of authentic European pastries. However, I haven't had a chance to return because, for the price, I felt the atmosphere was just okay and not something that would compel me to make a special trip.

Came here for the first time after 2pm to order crepes and was notified that their kitchen closes at 2pm. I decided not to buy anything that time around and waited until the next time when I could order the crepe before the kitchen was closed. 2nd time visit, before 2pm and now they mentioned that they actually close the kitchen at 1:30pm. Once again, I didn’t buy anything. Please put a sign of the kitchen hours when advertising your business so new customers are aware of what’s available.

We have been a fan of Isabelle’s for many years. The croissants are better than any we have had in Europe and we always order the Bouche de Noel every Christmas. Yum!!!
The butter croissants are amazing! Best I’ve had in San Diego.
