Flavors are nice but the ice cream itself is a little too frozen for my taste - definitely nice on a hot sunny day (plus they have really great gluten free precautions!)

A place to get some great ice cream. It is a little pricey but the quality is up there. Be aware of some cross contamination issues though, the serving scoops come in contact with all types of ingredients.

The staff here are great, friendly and helpful. They provided free samples of the flavors of your choosing. Which is good because there are a lot of flavors to choose from. I'm glad to see it's not just run of the mill flavors either, they put their own spin on classics. I ended up getting the cake batter flavor. The ice cream is smooth, creamy and sweet. It has a nice texture to it, gummy, in a good way, as it has a nice pull/stretch to it and results in a pleasant mouth feel. There was a tiny problem though. Since they are using the same ice cream scoops for serving different flavors, my Cake Batter ice cream had bits of mint in it that was off putting. It was surface level and was only in 1 or 2 bites. While it wasn't a deal breaker, I think anyone should still be cautious of this if you have allergies. My sister ordered the Honey Lavender flavor and while the staff mentioned no peanuts and there aren't any in the ingredients, she still had a minor reaction to it. We are assuming it was because of the ice cream scoop not being rinsed properly after each use.

They also give a small cookie with each ice cream order. I tried both the regular and gluten free one. If you don't have gluten issues, get the regular one. It is far superior in texture and taste.

Jojo's Creamery is an easy recommend if you are looking for some good ice cream. While the prices are a bit elevated, there are plenty of flavors to choose from, the product is high quality and there's friendly service to go with it. Just be cautious if you have allergies as the different ice creams may have come in contact with one another by means of the ice cream scoop.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, the ice cream had no flavor. Trying to cover the lack of flavor with adding extra sugar made it even worse. And it was expensive. I hope they rework their recipes with less sugar and more flavor.

Best ice cream in Encinitas, for sure! Had salted caramel and chocolate chip, and it comes with a free cookie. They also did a doggy portion for my pup of vanilla ice cream, and a bowl pressed down that she could eat. Got a sweet tooth in the area? This is your best bet.

Best ice cream. Clean ingredients.Flavors are incredible. Great staff- friendly and kind! Lots of options for different dietary needs. 100% worth it!!!!

An absolute must-visit. They make everything from scratch, resulting in unbelievably delicious quality. I love the use of organic dairy and the great vegan/gluten-free options!

​The free mini chocolate chip cookie with every scoop is genius. I had the cayenne sea salt caramel and it was perfectly creamy. The staff was friendly. The best homemade ice cream and cookies in Encinitas!

My favorite ice cream in all of San Diego county. Located in the lumberyard in downtown Encinitas. They use organic clover milk and fresh ingredients. My lavender ice cream was the best I’ve had. Definitely on the pricier side but absolutely worth it. I will be back!!!

My daughters favorite cookie place! They have fresh cookie dough that you can bake at home. It’s delicious!

Best ice cream around 😋

Obsessed with this ice cream and I’m sad I don’t live closer to have it more often! The malted cookie dough in a waffle cone is the combination of my dreams. Perfect texture and flavor. Might come back to Encinitas from Utah each summer just to have this seasonal flavor!

Great ice cream - I picked lemon berry shortbread and my husband picked peanut butter cup. Just wish their waffle cone was slightly thicker.
