Jorge's has been one of our go-to spots for years, at two of the locations. We get the famous chicken soup almost weekly during the winter. Always look forward to seeing Jaime and the crew! Best chicken soup in Encinitas, and there are some good spots!

This newest Jorge's location carries on the Jorge tradition of excellent Mexican food, highlighted by their Mexican style chicken soup. We have been going to the original Jorge's for 30+ years, so feel somewhat invested in their success.
Parking can be problematic due to the location on 101.
I spoke with the location manager Jaime who was energetic and pleasant.
Suggestion - trying to replicate the atmosphere of the original Jorge's they have posted large maps of North America. PLEASE remove these and replace them with some maps of Mexico and Baja like those at the original Jorge location and place the maps so customers don't have to lean over a table to look at them closely.
I discovered many interesting places looking at those maps while waiting for my orders over the years. This is just one thing that made the original Jorge's unique and a joy to visit. This new location is a false pretender so far. You can do better.

The counter person talked up the mole, but it was probably one of the worst I've ever had. Salty and very little of it.
Will not return.

The food was less than average.
The service was horrible.
Go somewhere else for Mexican food.

I have been very happy each time I’ve
come here. I’m super picky about beans and rice, and that was the first thing I noticed here. They both were very flavorful. The meats have been very good each time I’ve been here. Just an all around good comfort food to have when I’m in town.

The food is amazing. I was so happy to see them open up a restaurant in Leucadia. The delivery took a bit but it’s a Friday night. The crispy chicken tacos are fantastic! Five stars!

The food was so good here that after we finished we went and got seconds the cashier was very kind and helpful and made sure that we got what we ordered and that it was good which it was and the atmosphere was great because all the other places were super packed and this one was super chill and laid-back and the chicken soup was probably the best I’ve ever had. It had avocado in it. Thank you so much.

Stopped here while cycling past. It's just OK. Prices are reasonable but the food just isn't flavor packed. The chicken was flavorless and tasted like plain pulled chicken with zero seasoning. Salsas and guacamole were uninspiring as well. I'd try it again in a pinch, but would otherwise avoid.
