A bit noisey with holiday cheer. Overall a good experience for 4 adults and 2 grandchildren. Currys were very good, and kids liked the kids menu.

Ki's food, service and atmosphere are consistently excellent. I've never had a meal there that I didn't like. The service is superb, especially during lunch and dinner rush. We'll definitely be back! Thank you!

This was NYE, so maybe it's different on a regular night but the noise level was so loud I couldn't here my dinner companions across the table from me. Service and food was great but they need the lights are turned up, no chill music, so I guess they're going more for the loud, bar feel. I couldn't wait to leave. In fact we got our bill quick and left.

great food and service. The ambiance is okay. The location is great in terms of having a view of the ocean right across the street. The informal atmosphere is fine but casual so don't expect intimacy for your dining experience. Overall, it is great value because the chef is excellent and the wait staff is also excellent. Larry

We love going to this restaurant for Christmas Christmas Eve. The food is amazing. Their servers are joyful and the location is awesome.

As a local, this is our favorite restaurant in Cardiff. Reasonable prices, great ocean view, family owned, and consistently good food. Plenty of parking. And awesome healthy options too.

Always great food and cocktails with friendly service and great ocean views! We have never been disappointed!

Stunning views of Cardiff Encinitas beach. Eggs Benedict special is tasty. I wish they gave better attention to customers. Charged me for 2 coffees. Gave me regular coffee when I paid for Americano. Didn't serve my mimosa, I have to keep asking. The mimosa has little champagne n little cranberry.dudnt give syrup with pancakes. I shouldn't have to ask. Servers looked confused. It's not them bits their system. But love the 2nd floor views.

Generous portions, laid back atmosphere. Homely - not pretentious. Lots of flavor and fair prices. Great choice!

Food was good as usual. This time, same as the last time we ate there, the service was not good.....no checking back at the table for more water, not clearing the empty dishes from the table between courses, and this time long wait for food to arrive even though there were very few customers in the restaurant. Too bad because the food quality and preparation is good, but the poor service is a real turnoff.

I had high hopes for my birthday dinner at Ki on October 16, but unfortunately, the experience left me feeling humiliated and dismissed. When I arrived, the hostess was warm and accommodating, and she kindly seated me at a beautiful table facing the sunset, a perfect start.

However, things quickly turned unpleasant when another table asked to have the blinds opened, causing the sun to shine directly into our eyes. I politely asked the waitress to lower the blinds slightly, explaining the discomfort and that it was my birthday celebration. She refused, saying “the other customer asked for them open,” as though my comfort didn’t matter. I was told, “the customer is always right,” which left me wondering, am I not a customer too?

After being ignored twice, I had no choice but to lower the blinds myself, which led to confrontation from another table while the waitress disappeared completely. The manager later brought our drinks, but service lagged, our food took nearly 45 minutes to arrive, overcooked and dry. It wasn’t about the food or the bill, it was about respect, time, and how guests are treated. Despite mentioning twice that it was my birthday, not a single gesture was made to acknowledge it, while another table celebrating received two rounds of recognition.
As a local, I had wanted to love this place, but I left feeling embarrassed and undervalued. Beautiful view or not, customer care and empathy should never be optional. Sadly, I won’t be returning.
