First- the lobster ROLL is soft, and grilled to perfection! There is a lot of Maine Lobster and their wonderful Tarragon Sauce makes it very tasty and elegant! These rolls are addictive. You have to pay more to get the proper level of lobster but dang, it's good. Anytime a place talks Maine lobster and they aren't on the East Coast I automatically assume they are full of it. I can't speak to the sourcing veracity but I can speak to the flavor, which is great. Also, they are right on Coast Highway and the people watching is amazing. It's hilarious to watch San Diego County Sheriff's Deputies dress like soldiers...
Dog friendly with outside seating.
We ordered two EPIC hot lobster rolls (Connecticut style, warm with butter) and although they were delicious, for the EPIC PRICE OF $39 PER ROLL, it was very skimpy compared to what you get for that price in New England. They stack it high in the middle and don’t fill the bun to the ends to make it look super full. It’s not. The New England clam chowder was great though.
