I got the Guatamala Genesis Reserva pour over coffee. It cost 9 dollars for 8-10 oz. The coffee was disappointingly weak. You could almost see the bottom of the cup through the coffee. Nearly tasteless. If I spent 3 dollars i would have been mildly annoyed, but I was really expecting something pretty special for a 9 dollar hand crafted 10 oz coffee.
Service was fine, atmosphere was pretty, but it's right on a busy street so it's pretty loud.

had the worst matcha latte in my life here and such exorbitant price! 7.54 dollars for a matcha latte that was not a vibrant green color and no fresh matcha flavour either. Please buy authentic and high grade matcha from Japan for such a high price. Such waste of my money.
I really like this place. But I’m too upset after the parking sign sharp corner ruined my car door.

Tasty but, all became sour as a result of service
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lofty Coffee in Encinitas is an absolute gem! Hidden away on a private hill just off the main road, it’s the perfect spot to relax, work, or just soak in the vibe with a great cup of coffee. The seating areas are super chill, whether you're grabbing your morning brew or a tasty afternoon bite.
I was beyond excited when I saw they had VENEZUELAN chocolate! ?? Being from Venezuela, I had to try it, and let me tell you, it was BOMB ?! If you're a chocolate lover, you can't miss it.
I went with a classic croissant ?—flaky, buttery, and delicious. My girlfriend had a chia acai bowl that was bursting with flavor—super refreshing and exactly what we were looking for in a quick pitstop.
Highly recommend this place! It's definitely a 5-star spot... or should I say, 5 coffees ☕️!
Parking: Had a couple of parking spots, since it is on a hill, there aren't that many.
Kid-friendliness: It is a great environment to just sit and relax. Although there is nothing kid specific, I saw a lot of families just enjoying the view and eating.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is plenty of space for wheelchairs, tables on concrete, sit in the shade and enjoy the view.

Good coffee (campfire roast, I think), but not outstanding. I am still trying to wrap my head around a $7.00 coffee that was probably 8oz. ?

I’m a fan of freshly roasted coffee beans, and it doesn’t get fresher than buying at the Roastery! Lofty has an excellent somewhat seasonal selection of beans to choose from.
The espresso drinks are well prepared and the baked goods made fresh daily. Avocado toast is my personal favorite morning treat.
Seating is all outdoors, some covered.
Parking is very tight—the biggest drawback to this location.
Parking: There is a small paved parking lot; unfortunately, several Lofty delivery vans take up valuable spaces. Somewhat hidden, there is a dirt parking lot behind that.

The quality of coffee making has gone down. I used to be a fan, but the last few times the espresso drinks were quite sour.
I always enjoy lofty coffee and their food is great coffee shop/quick eats.
Dietary restrictions: Some options for GF. Not a ton of pastry options

The coffee here is pretty great! My wife reported that her drink ended up being too spicy for her, and my coffee was pretty alright. This seemed like a REALLY COOL place to meet up with friends and hang out (the place was PACKED with cyclists and people just meeting up). Just not 5 stars because I know there are some slightly better tasting coffee spots in the area!

Great place to grab a good coffee and hang out. It is strange that they have two locations right across the street but for some reason it works. The parking is limited but I have always found a spot. Regular coffee includes refills and there is ample seating. They have decent pastries and phenomenal acai bowls. Prices are a little high but so is everything. Most consistent good coffee in Coastal North San Diego county.
Random pick while in town from Texas and probably the BEST random coffee/brekky spot ever. I tried the Aztec mocha, which is delicious and just the right kick. The croissant, sausage, egg and cheese.. umm SO good!

Hands down best coffee shop in SoCal! Great location, menu, quality of offerings & amazing service team. Aztec mocha is the go to drink, rich mocha with a cayenne bite, delicious & unique.
Vegetarian options: This location has several vegetarian options on the menu.
Dietary restrictions: Great menu with many gluten free and vegan options.
Parking: There are a large number of off street parking spaces but on busy days can be tricky to find the spot, there are extra spots in the back lot.
Kid-friendliness: Open outdoor seating areas that are friendly for kids.
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access.
