10/10 Do NOT skip this place!!!
Visiting from Michigan - this is hands down the best meal I’ve had since I got here almost a week ago. Tried several Mexican places within an hour or so of San Diego, including the infamous “Taco Stand” - Los Tacos blew them all out of the water.
Best shrimp tacos and ceviche I’ve ever had in my life. One of the owners was present, working alongside the staff behind the counter. You could sense a mutual respect among them. He was also very friendly and attentive to all our food questions and made recommendations, which we appreciated greatly. Wish I would have taken photos, will add if I am able to return a second time before going home!

The tacos are outstanding. Fresh ingredients and fantastic flavors made for a wonderful meal. Highly recommend any of the fish or seafood tacos, as well as the burria taco. Tortillas are incredible too.

Unexpectedly great place for tacos. For some time now I’ve been hearing how San Diego has great Mexican food. Having lived in Arizona I think I’ve had some variable Mexican cuisine. And up until I found this place, I had not agreed with what I had heard about San Diego’s excellent Mexican food. The space isn’t all that but oh the best el pastor!! What a lovely find for tacos and burritos. Some super spicy and delicious Arbol sauce goes nicely with the Birra.

I enjoyed a good bacon and eggs breakfast burrito at this Encinita's local favorite. The burrito came with bacon, regular potatoes, eggs, and cheese. The burrito is called the "Original" and costs $11.55 plus tax.
The burrito was of good size. It offered more in girth than is length. The burrito tasted great, and the flour tortillas tasted great. I liked the potatoes in the burrito, but I would have liked it. There were fewer of them and chopped into smaller pieces. They took away some of the bacon's flavor and texture or just put more bacon in the burrito. At any rate, the burrito was delicious and was good eating with the red hot salsa and the avocado salsa.
The service was super friendly. The you lady at the counter was very cool and is a fan of "Joy Division," Imagine that! They only offer inside seating, not that there's anything wrong with that.

We were trying to eat some places closer to the coast but all the places had long lines for simple tacos. So was so excited when I found this place. The first thing that caught my attention was the difference ways you can get the meats they prepare. I got Birria, Carnitas and Al pastor Salmon. The salmon was like blackened yet with a sweet twist. With the chipotle crema it was a match made in heaven. Most places that do chipotle sauce never make it spicy enough but this one was HOT. Also got to try some of the shrimp and liked how they put cheese on it too. Finally their refried beans.. OMG I love them. Firm and not runny and full of flavor yet not over salted. I have to come back for their Bean & Cheese burrito. Also their horchata was good too. not over sweetened. 10/10 would recommend compared to the over hyped taco shops on the coast.
